What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family,
I had a nice weekend. Went out to the movie "Hidden Figures" with a friend of mine and out to eat afterwards on Saturday. Sunday was laid back. I did take Blossom on a walk around the muddy neighborhood.
QOTD: Most of my life I have been a night person. I used to stay up all night and paint and get my energy around 10 pm and be known to be cleaning house or vacuuming in the middle of the night. Lately, though, I conk out by 10:30 or 11 pm and my inner clock wakes me up around 6 am. I do take a nap or two during the day, though.

Have a great Monday and a wonderful week everyone!

Good Morning All. QOTD: I guess I am a morning person. Not that I get up super early, but I just wake up every morning without an alarm clock by 7:30 at the latest. And in the morning is when I get most my energy and things done around the house/or at work. Once I get home from work, if I sit down, I am done for the night! So anything needing done has to be done soon as I change my clothes.
B: coffee
L: bunless burger
D: rotisserie chicken and salad
Good morning friends! Only 2, count them--2 full days left at my job. Tues & Wed are planned leave, work Thursday, then "clear" on Friday. (What the govt calls it when you are leaving to settle all your accounts, process out). Yahoo!
QOTD: I'm a morning person. I used to be able to sleep in, now I sleep around 7 hours, regardless of the time. I typically get up around 0430 everyday to do yoga, but with an alarm. My back usually bothers me by then. When I worked night shift though, I loved being up all night. Not that I had a ton more energy, just the vibe was nice on night shift in the hospital setting.

Good morning OH Menu folk! Good morning DD2. I am glad you had a good weekend. I can honestly say that I did as well. I had 2 major victories this weekend. First, I didn't binge at all. I did have some pizza on Saturday, and a few bites of angel food cake, but I skipped the pudding and cool whip that would have sent me into a lactose induced misery, so I feel like I won that one. Then yesterday, I skipped chocolate cake and ice cream. I did eat a TON of meat. We had Japanese Hibachi on Friday night and then last night we met friends at a Korean BBQ joint. I ordered the cod soup, which was delicious. As I was eating it, I was eating this stuff that I couldn't figure out what it was... so I asked. Well, good thing I'm not squeamish, because it was intestines, lol. Delicious intestines.
DD2QOTD: When I was younger I was most definitely a night time person. As I've gotten older, it's shifted and I've turned into a real morning person. I'm usually up by 5 and now I'm out the door at 6:30 to get the kiddo to daycare so I can make it to work between 7:45 and 8. I do love to sleep, so that means I'm usually in bed by 9, 10 at the very latest during the week. If I'm feeling feisty on the weekend, I can stay up to 11 or 12. Woohoo!

Okay, even though I couldn't make it on the last day or CAMAW, I have to say that I believe that it did the trick for me. I feel much more in control this week, and was able to resist the sweets this weekend. I had 2 birthday parties, one on Saturday afternoon and one on Sunday. I am all done with birthdays until March, so I won't have to test my will again for a while.
Good morning friends!
We had a pretty low-key weekend here, lots of soggy weather so we didn't go out much....I was feeling kinda yucky on Saturday so we didn't go anywhere. I did a lot of reading (I'm re-reading a series that I started back in college and there's like 20+ books in it now I think) and just generally relaxed. Yesterday I felt better so we went and visited with my father-in-law. We didn't stay too long because we wanted to get back in time to watch the Packers get shellacked by the Falcons (not the outcome I'd have liked but meh!), and then we watched the Pats stomp the Steelers. Football is a recent thing in our house...hubby got into it via fantasy leagues, he loves the minutiae when figuring out stats and from that developed an interest in watching the games. I grew up in a football family, but mostly enjoyed attending the college games when I was in school. Today I'll be doing some work and getting stuff ready for our insane day of appointments tomorrow....whee! Never a dull moment, that's how I like it!
QOTD: DD2 my hubby and I are exactly the same, but opposite . I am totally a day person...I wake up early, naturally and I'm ready to take on the day. Pat, on the other hand, is a total night-owl and is definitely not a morning person. He almost always stays up later than I will....but we compromise...sometimes I stay up late with him, sometimes he gets up early with me...it works :D I will say that if I stay up late I definitely have more trouble rising in the morning haha...like this morning!
MENU:
B: Premier Protein Shake, Coffee w/FF 1/2 and 1/2
S: String Cheese w/Deli Ham
L: TBD
S: Almonds, babybel lite
D: Eggs with Chorizo (or Bacon if I get around to making it!)
L: Water water water...and somewhere in there I'll mix in some Miralax because my body is still annoyed at the lack of roughage during CAMAW. Ah well, it was worth the fallout
Have a fabulous Monday guys....let's rock this week!

Ugh... I was rooting for Green Bay simply because I thought they'd make the best game when they played the Steelers in the Superbowl... I'm a bleeds-yellow-and-gold type of fan... I screamed, curse, clap and roar during the games! Last night, I turned the TV off during the 3rd Qtr... the dogs were upset, and my son kept jumping when I screamed...
OK, so my condolences to your Packers! But think of it this way, now we can jus****ch the commercials and socialize during the game at the Super Bowl Party!
