I really want to try Crio Bru.  Do you make yours in a regular coffee maker?  Or do you use a French press?

I use a French Press, and I let it sit in there a long time.  I think the flavor is much richer in the French Press than in a regular coffee maker.

I do not add sweetener.  I add a little "creamer," which for me is a small amount of organic unsweetened soy milk.  I know a lot of people do not do soy.  I have tried all kinds of things in it--nut milks, regular milks, cream, creamers, etc.  I always go back to unsweetened soy.  It is also good with regular full fat coconut milk, but that adds a lot of calories.  (Makes it really filling though!)

If you are looking to buy online, I think you can get it from Amazon or directly from the Crio Bru web site.

As with coffee, they have different beans from different locations, and each has its own overtones. I like most of the ones they offer, but there is one I don't like.  So I would suggest trying out at least two of their blends, to see if there is one you like best.

I have a neighbor that loves it too.  She likes hers with cream and sugar!  She is not a weight-challenged person like me though.

Morning! Still morning here, barely. Quiet day at home today doing a full day of school with everyone and trying to catch up on house stuff...way behind there. Pretty nice weather here today, and tomorrow it is supposed to be in the 60s I think?? Son has basketball tonight but dh is taking him, so I am happy to have a day at home doing All The Things.

I used to be a night person. So much so that I worked night shift as a nurse. :) Something has changed as I've gotten older though. I am Donedonedone by 10pm, and I wake up no later than 6:30 or so even if I stayed up too late the night before. I just can't sleep in. I remember being able to sleep in really late if no one woke me up! lol.

Breakfast- a hard boiled egg, two thin slices of deli turkey with a slice of pepperjack cheese. Coffee and milk.

Lunch- buffalo chicken salad

Dinner- Cooking for California today! :) We are making BLATs (bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato sandwiches), having strawberries with them. I will just have the bacon and veg, maybe a couple of strawberries.

Snack- greek yogurt

Good morning Menu Crew. Day 11.

QOTD: I'm an in between person as well  I don't like to sleep later than 8, 9 at the latest - although since having surgery I've been sleeping in  I also love to be in bed by 10:00  I live with a houseful of night hawks though and when I'm working I have to be out the door by 6:10.  This usually means I never get enough sleep.

I jumped the gun this morning. I'm supposed to wait until Thursday to have eggs. But I really needed an egg. I've been feeling good, no issues with any of the food I've had so breakfast was actually 2 poached eggs. Spaced out and chewed well. No issues so far. An egg has never tasted that good!

Linch - Skyr yogurt with sugar free raspberry and protein powder

supper- Some kind of soup with protein powder

Have a great day everyone!
