What's on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?
Yes - Back on Track :) ..... Although I had an eyeopener and this is why we always need to pay attention, I was really hungry the last couple of days and while I didn't dive into chocolate cake too much is still too much....
Happy Teacher posted on the VSG board a reminder about how acid causes hunger.... it was like a slap upside the head... I like to be in denial I can have that problem... so today I took my omeprezole and am white knuckling past it...

Good morning menu crew! Ahhhh Sunday... slept in again and it was awesome! The weather here is just gross. foggy, rainy, cold and grey. BLAH! I am just finishing my brunch and then we are out to hike the dogs and then give them a bath. Then I have "work" to do, I got half way through my AMAW/CAMAW list of who will be the winners! You all keep me busy, this is turning into a job, and I have a full time job LOL Maybe we need someone retired to do the menu thread ha ha Anyone??
QOTD: BLANKETS yes! So now that I am 3 yrs post op and cold all the time yes to blankets for warmth AND that feeling of being "tucked in" and covered in something heavy. Oddly per surgery when I was HOT ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME I loved blankets, not for warmth but again for that feeling of being "tucked in" and cozy. So yes we are pro blankets at our house and considering its only me and my husband here we have A LOT of blankets oh and we have "his" & "hers" heating pads, for real, we both need to warm! You know Grim ran down to get the blankets out of the drier out of guilt, I mean who keeps their house like an ice box? Just saying LOL LOL LOL Kidding its out of Love... and guilt
B & L: pretty much slept through breakfast so this is brunch: 1/2 cup of taco seasoned ground beef with shredded cheese & sour cream
S: 4 turkey deli slices + honey mustard
D: went to a new butcher yesterday and decided to try these new "Thai Chicken sausages with pineapple", will report back how they are after we grill them up, I am hoping for great things! I love Thai flavours ** If any of my Canadian peeps are reading this, where do you recommend buying good steaks that I don't need to take out a second mortgage for?
S: 4 turkey deli slices + honey mustard
V: got my new shipment of my patches on Friday! YAY I am so excited. I literally had one patch left and was worried I would have a lapse in them but got them all on the 30 day autoship so ya I am happy, I love those friggin patches
L: you all know what this is... COFFEE with MILK all day long!
E: hiking the pups today!
Have a great Sunday menu crew! Be Fabulous!

I'll say it a million times.... you're the best!! Did you see my official weigh-in #.... down 8 lbs and just over 2 inches overall. More importantly, I realized I wasn't using my tool to it's fullest. It's amazing what a palm sized piece of chicken does compared to a handful of trail mix or TBS peanut butter. Can't say it enough how much I appreciate you. Since I can't resize images from my phone my Friday food pic will be posted tomorrow :)

WOW on down 8 lbs! So proud of you Kelly!
And you are so very welcome, there is no menu crew without you and all the others to right back at ya girl!!
And yes it REALLY is all about DENSE PROTEIN, who knew (well we all did but its great to have a reminder every now and then right)
Good afternoon Menu Friends... Late posting today I had to take my 69 year old father to the bank and show him how to use the ATM machine and then to the gas station and how use his credit card at the pump. His response was how did I go all these years without this! I have been bugging my parents for years to get and ATM card and they always fought me.
Today in our house is also full of Patriots football my husband is in really big football and baseball fan. I don't mind them but I prefer NASCAR and hockey myself.
QOTD: I love blankets all day everyday.. For Christmas we got our daughter an electric throw blanket and she loves it so now I need to get myself one because there is nothing I love more in the cold than my electric blanket or my heated car seats.
My food for the day is:
B: hard boiled egg, sausage and tea
L: leftover steamed chicken from dinner last night
D: Snack food while watching the football game so I will have some meat and cheese and the husband will add some carbs and beer to his meal..
Have a great day friends and enjoy your Sunday......
