What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers? Day 5 of AMAW/CAMW!

Thank you. I take that as a high compliment.
Truthfully, I credit listening to the vets. When I started, I knew this was my only chance of beating my addiction to really BE THERE for my son. I knew I'd run out of chances, so my thinking was to find all the people who not only lost their excess weight but maintained it for years. That's the hard part.
Once I found them, I LISTENED AND USED THEIR EXPERIENCES to learn as much as I possibly can. Every day I am still learning.
You are one of those vets.
So thank you.

That is impressive ! Great Job! I am learning - even at 2 years and 2 months the importance of maintaining structure and continuing to stay on the plan that works.
Having no plan got me to 475 pounds.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
Your dedication is always an inspiration Kat. This is a lifestyle of constant re-evaluation, and no there are no days off... well said.

Thanks!! I do suspect a large portion of that is water weight -- but I will take it.
As far as the "no days off" -- I just substitute "heroin" for "food" and that makes it easier:
But it's my birthday, one small bit of HEROIN will be okay!
It's Christmas -- SHOOTING up just a few little tastes of HEROIN won't hurt anything!
I know it seems over the top, but since I view my eating as addictive and that at 347 lbs with multiple co-morbidities, I had almost overdosed -- it works for me.

I totally agree with what you said about eliminating foods from your diet being easier than trying to eat them in moderation. One family member that I talked to about having surgery said no you just need to eat in moderation. Ummmm....I have kind of tried that for years and years and years.....it hasn't worked yet!
