Good morning everyone! This CAMAW has been hard for me. I had let carbs sneak in since Christmas and especially bites of cupcakes, cookies or low glycemi**** cream. It really stood out to me this week how often that was happening. I did veer off track a few times, but I think I have an increased awareness now of how easily you can get off track. I'm also down 2 pounds since the beginning of the week, which is great for me. I've been a super slow loser lately.

B- irish tea w/fairlife milk, 3 oz pot roast

Good morning! I have a crazy day of running around to different locations, so I had to pack a lot of my food today - thus, it's premeasured and packed. I am a bit low on the protein count, so I may add something during the afternoon. Depends on how I feel. As always, I will edit with accurate measures/pics and corrections as I eat through the day.

QOTD: I am really glad I did the AMAW challenge.  Like you DaisyDoo -- it's pretty close to how I eat all the time.  I always weigh and measure my food -- and I have way over a 1000 days logged into MyFitnessPal.  I do not take breaks for holidays -- and my birthday was last Saturday -- I still stay on plan.

I view my obesity as a disease in remission -- caused by my addiction to food.  Certain foods are horrendous triggers for me (think bread, chips, potatoes, rice, sweets, etc) -- and it's easier to completely cut them than try to moderate them.  In fact, a life time of trying to moderate my addiction to them brought me to 347 pounds!!

That said, I hadn't considered that even some good foods might also be a trigger for me.  Lately, I'd been feeling a little more out of control and anxious about food.  I was very snack-y in the evenings -- and I felt compelled to eat things like nuts, cheese and even popcorn.  They were all portion controlled -- but the compulsion wasn't ever truly satiated.  That is GONE during AMAW.  Thus, I plan to continue on AMAW for a while longer -- and definitely limited and watching my reactions if and when I add cheese or nuts back.

Finally, special thank you DaisyDoo for extending such a warm welcome -- and the enormous amount of time you take to manage this thread.  It doesn't go unnoticed.

1117 as of tomorrow for me!

* I actually give you credit for that -- I paid attention at the start when you commented that people who logged religiously tended to be more successful -- so I made that my first goal.

You are a machine Kat. Just incredible. I hope new people really pay attention to how you do things.

When most people say they are eating x number of calories, I'm usually a little skeptical. When you say how many calories you are eating, it's money in the bank.
