What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers? Day 5 of AMAW/CAMW!
Lol. It is usually in the fish section. If you have Trader Joe's they always have it by the deli meat. So good! But may be why I did not lose much weight... lot of salt.
I am so proud of all you AMAW people this week. You have done great. I am fighting hard today to control my eating. Most of you know we had a biopsy done on a mass on my boxer Lily. We found out results yesterday morning. The vet expected a mast cell tumor but instead it showed a malignant mass most likely either a spindle cell sarcoma or fibrosarcoma. They weren't able to determine the grade from the specimen. Vet feels fairly certain that is low grade as it had just appeared and is smaller than a dime so she is scheduled to have the mass taken off ob February 2. He will remove extra margin around the edges to hopefully get all the cells. Only good news is that this type grows very slowly and rarely metastasized. So prayers or good thoughts needed for that please and for me as I try not to eat everything in sight. Post op 4 years 4.5 months and weight at 117.8 today. Lily and I got our walk in early. It was so foggy we could hardly even see--in fact she tried to pick up some roadkill and I had to use the flashlight to see what she was doing. Yuck! Smashed squirrel before you're really awake is disgusting. Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 4 oz tuna with some pickle relish and mayo D 31/2 oz pork steak 1/2 c beets S P3 Pak. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goal. Picture of me today with the crazy boy cat in the background.
First prayers for Lily...
Second- smashed squirrel- yuck!
Third- this is one of the best outfits I've seen you in - Love the green on you and the jeans fit really well and look great!

I am so sorry to learn about Lily's diagnosis -- but grateful that it seems treatable!

Ugh, I'm so sorry, Karen!! What is it with Boxer's and Cancer??!
At least it's a slow growing kind, and I'll be praying and praying that the vet can get it all and Lily can live her life out to the fullest!!!
((((Hugs))))
