Great job on the eight loss and the 'enlightenments'...literally LOL. I know you have struggled with not having carbs during weight loss phase... it does make a difference!

You can do this! keep setting mini-goals and pushing forward...

I took my daughter to see that movie and looooved it so much I came home and bought the book! I'm having trouble getting into the book, frankly, which is disappointing. I'm only a few chapters in, but it is kind of reading like a history textbook and what I was hoping for was more about the lives of these women, you know? But I'll keep plugging away, maybe it improves, lol.

Good Morning! My normal quick post for Friday morning as I have so many things to get done first thing!! Getting my hair done tomorrow but other than that not much going on.  Daisy, I totally understand Mama Bear (I think I mentioned here that my team bought me a shirt for my birthday at the beginning of the month that says "Mama Bear" on it). I love our group too!

QOTD: I have stuck to CAMAW all week, including sticking to vanilla only yogurt (no fruit!).  Feeling less bloated and more in control and I call that a WIN.  I love having a group challenge, it's fun. Now truth be told I want an orange tomorrow and some salad. Kudos to you Daisy, the best MC!!

Time since surgery: 2 years, 5 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Buddig beef pack, a boiled egg and 1/3 cup cottage cheese

S: SF latte, Vanilla 100 calorie Chobani yogurt (been local to CAMAW and have had no fruit yogurt too!), and jerky pack

D: 2 fried eggs, 2 slices bacon and a decaf SF latte with fairlife later in the evening

E: 7 (yup that's right 7!) this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1062 Protein:117 Carbs:67 Fat:36

Have a great one!

Went out yesterday to get some medication- did a swing by to the meat department at Target, always looking to what has sale stickers on it- I find their fresh meat very good... So I found this gem- bacon wrapped chicken breast stuffed with jalapeno cream cheese... The amount of stuffing was disappointing- a teaspoon or two... but bacon wrapped chicken...yummmmm I couldn't quite finish a whole one

Image may contain: food

Took this pic earlier in the week- actually when I just got home from Doc's and found out I had a double ear infection...what the what??? Need my superhero shirts when I am least feeling like a superhero... Actually took it to send to my grandson as he loves all his superheros :)

QOTD: I am a firm supporter of the meat week reset ever since we did it the first time.... I do it periodically, but I usually find 2-3 days works for me to be back in the zone where I am not hungry and carb craving. When it comes to carbs, now that I am in maintenance, there are some that work fine for me like low carb pita and wraps and don't seem to effect the scale negatively but even they can be a slippery slope into more hard core carbs...

So resets work! As I am eating basically pre-made/high salt food because I am not feeling well....and I want to say after 2 days on Antibiotics I feel the same...I was up 1.5 this AM... but I can see I am retaining water(ankles) and regular bathroom functions haven't happened...so I am not stressing it. This has been a CAMAW lite week for me .... Did have quest bars the last 2 days out of convenience, and there were a few veggies in my premade stuff... But CAMAW! and Thanks Daisy for being MC!

B: Coffee with fairlife and miralax eggs, bacon, cheese

L: Chicken salad

D: Pizza Ch****n- Chicken breast with a little pizza sauce and melted mozzarella aka chicken Parm... I tell my grandson Pizza chicken so he eats it...

Snacks: babybel, Sliced steak. Choclate chai latte, soup- either chicken or hot and sour... snacks depend on how I feel may or maynot happen...

Drank tons of water with cranberry yesterday and plan to do the same today

Bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with jalapeno cream cheese sounds amazing!  I sure hope those antibiotics kick in soon and you start feeling better really fast!  HUGS, Cynthia!

Happy Friday everyone!!!

CAMAW has gone great for me! I didn't lose a TON of weight, however, I lost a little everyday (and honestly I need to weigh tomorrow because really, I'll be doing CAMAW today too, and I think tomorrow's weight will still reflect this week's work)... I'm only a bit more than 10 pounds until I hit the goal I wrote down about a year ago (surgery was 8  months ago)... I picked that number out of the air, and honestly, I intend to lose more, but just getting to that number will make me happy.

I also have realized that picking a goal number is like picking out lottery numbers. I get that I need a goal, it's always good to have one (for me), but I'm not going to change anything when I hit that magical number... so if I lose more, then so be it. If I don't, I think I will still be happy... but I'm not going of the rails just because of a number I picked out of thin air... this is my way of eating for life, not just until I hit a certain number.

QOTD: While I'm no where near the weight loss some people have had, I am still quite pleased, if for no other reason, seeing how easily we allow things to slip past our lips without really even thinking about it. I didn't have any carb withdrawls that I recognized, but I did have a couple of moments that it was hard not to just have a 'bite' of something... and those calories will really add up over a year's time (Again, John, that statement the other day about the 1 slice of cheese really got to me). I started out on Monday at 157.0, Tuesday 157.2, Wednesday 156.4, Thursday 156.0, and Today 155.8. THAT is a success in MY book, and I'll take it!

Today's menu, up in the air, but making MEAT choices no matter!

B: Last of the grilled bologna (3oz)

L: Out with friends, but I scoped out the menu... probably wings or shrimp ****tail

D: Remembrance gathering for a friend that passed away a year ago (this will be hard, and I may not make it... we'll see what is there)

Exercise: Workout legs before heading to lunch with friends

Today my pictures aren't of what I will be eating today, but one last shout out to Filet... As she will be my main staple for the next C/AMAW challenge!!! Thank you for your service, Filet... we promise to eat you with love in our hearts!!!

Bottle fed baby... wasn't even sure she'd live, she was soooo skinny when we got her!!!

She lived in our backyard for MONTHS... she was a spoiled, loved cow!

She LOVED apples (will my meat be sweeter?! LOL)... and was so gentle even kids could feed her (My niece and sister in law)

She didn't get as big as we wanted her to, but 725lbs is still a hefty girl! LOL
