with family and friends like that - if their statement really bugs me or they say things like that to me in front of others (them being judgemental) i sometimes look at them -up and down and may say "I see that approach really works for you" and ..walk away..

There are definitely healthier type foods I can only bring in the house on occasion, because I know I'll eat it until it's gone. Weirdly enough, one is cottage cheese, the other tofu. They are comfort foods for me, and even though I can fit them in my plan, I don't like the feeling I get when they are in the house. Like, I know I have to eat it until it's all gone. So tofu I'll save for when my vegan friend is coming over. Or if I really need a break from meat.

a disease in remission...I like that. I was thinking today on how I am always going to be fat...inside, in my head, it's always going to be a thing to deal with. Surgery doesn't fix that, it just makes beating it back possible.

Morning DD2!

QOTD: You know I love AMAW weeks. Thank you again, so much, for once again being our leader Daisy. You're the best. OK, maybe the second best. AMAW again after Easter would be perfect. I love those #&$%!! Cadbury Creme Eggs.

My menu from yesterday really highlights the difference between a regular week, CAMAW, and AMAW. I was doing some plumbing for friends yesterday, and it took the whole day. There were really no choices during the day. Ordinarily, I would have eaten a bunch of Quest bars to hit my daily calorie target. But I obviously couldn't do that. If I were doing CAMAW, I would have grabbed a burger. But I just won't eat a burger without cheese, so that was out. Just meat is really hard, even for me. I do miss my cheese.

The biggest things for me are:

  1. When doing strict AMAW, I eat less. It just isn't possible to eat enough meat to gain weight. No one got obese from dense protein. It just isn't possible.
  2. If you were doing CAMAW, it is possible to gain some weight, but only if you eat a ton of cheese. That's the only way you could gain on CAMAW.
  3. Dense protein really fills you up, and keeps you full. Anyone that worries they have stretched their stomachs and the surgery failed them, I will bet a million dollars they are eating crappy slider foods. Stick to chicken or steak only, and they will eat like a bird.
  4. Carbs really are the devil. Carbs are what made us obese. Nothing else.

Anyway, this is a very, very unusual menu for me, and about a third of the calories I normally get. I maintain at about 2500. Next week I will post menus for what my normal everyday eating is like.

I love that you posted a menu!  I was wondering what the heck you ate in a day.  But, that is not very much.  Will be watching for another post of what you actually eat.  And you are very active, right?

Good Friday morning menu gang!!! Let the weekend hurry up and come on! I have had a blast with meat week. I had started slipping like so many others I have read. I problem was at night before bed  I would eat saltines. To some people that wouldn't bother them but my body, it was a no go! I needed this meat week to get me back in check and use this time period to lose the rest and reach my goal!

The stats from my family from CAMAW:

Husband- 11 pounds

Oldest daughter- 3 pounds

Son-12.3 pounds

Youngest  daughter- 7 pounds

This is something that makes this mama HAPPY!!!!

Time since surgery 10 months 154.0 this morning! Woot woot!! 6.1 pounds down during AMAW.

B- 2 oz of Ham steak

L- 2 oz Hamburger meat with a splash of Worchestire

D- 2 oz Flounder filet

S- 2 oz Baked Chicken breast with a tsp of taco sauce

I hope everybody has a great day and stays well!!
