What's on your Menu Today (Thursday) RNYers - Day 4 of AMAW/CAMAW!
What the heck is "Boston Butt"? I thought that was the big thing I used to sit on (I live in Massachusetts)????

So I had to look it up. Per Wikipedia: "In pre-revolutionary New England and into the American Revolutionary War, New England butchers tended to take less prized cuts of pork like hams and shoulders and pack them into barrels for storage and transport, known as a butt. This particular shoulder cut became known around the country as a Boston specialty, and hence it became the "Boston butt."
You never know what you are going to learn here on OH!

Funny, but it's never called that around here. Just like no one in Massachusetts would ever say "Beantown."

Good Morning everyone! QOTD: my favorite protein would be burger. Sounds funny I guess and I'm not sure why, maybe due to the fact it is just easy to throw on my George Foreman grill and in couple of minutes I have an easy meal. I'll post my lunch and snack photo from yesterday. If anyone has suggestions on how to make photo's smaller, I will attempt to try! haha B: coffee L: Tyson grilled Southwestern chicken strips D: pork rind coated baked chicken breast S: hunters sausage stick. Have to say I did walk by the pantry and grabbed a couple of almonds yesterday!!! Not only does this disqualify me from the challenge, but worries me how easily I "mindlessly" might be snacking . But I will continue the challenge none the less. Best of luck to those remaining!!
Morning Gang! It's a cold, rainy, meaty day here too.
QOTD: It has to be steak, by far. Ribeye, to be specific. MMMMMMM. I never use any kind of sauce or whatnot. But I do use a ton of salt. I'd be afraid to count how many salt shakers I have scattered around the house. I once looked to see if I could buy a shaker spout to go over the one pound container, so I didn't have to keep refilling those small shakers. No luck.
Here is my menu from yesterday. I was out running around for most of the day, and didn't eat nearly as much as I usually would have. Normally, I would have had a bunch of Quest bars to fill it out, but because of AMAW, I did not. The same will go for today, because I'll be spending several hours doing some plumbing and won't be able to cook.
