I ate it with a piece of red onion like suggested online, and then tried it again with my sugar free raspberry preserves. The second time I couldn't really taste it because it was already all up in my nose lol. But put it this way...I tired goat cheese and spit it out!!! It tasted like a friggin goat!!! ugh yuck!!!

Just don't smell it first. The bark is worse than the bite. Also I think you can buy it in a jar. I would go that route because it's the rind that smells so bad.

I have always been put off by the thought of eating blue cheese, over Christmas I finally tried some. OMGOSH so delicious. I bet with steak it would be even better.

I'm generally not a blue cheese fan, but I love it in steak sauces (I make a mushroom sauce that has it in there, for example...)

Good morning! I am struggling with being on East Coast time, so I've been up since before 3am again :( But on the plus side, I found the conference yesterday, and Day 1 was pretty good despite a total lack of organization on the part of the conference organizers. But I learned a lot and I'm happy I'm here!

They did serve food! However, breakfast was just fresh fruit, which I skipped. And I didn't even peek at the lunch options... I was sick of sitting for so long, so I hightailed it out and went for a long walk up the strip. And for some reason I was too overwhelmed to deal with finding dinner, so yesterday's menu was:

B: Starbucks egg bites and coffee

S: Meat stick and coffee

L: Protein Bar and coffee

D: Protein Bar (no coffee)

I actually feel a little lighter today but I could definitely use some "real" food. So I'll stick around for conference lunch today, and see what they have. Tonight I'm going to be more touristy and try to see some sights. Not sure what that means for dinner but I'll behave.

QOTD: Living with Grim has really made me appreciate steak! I had never (and I mean never) cooked a steak at home before I met him. My other go-to is turkey. Trader Joe's sells thick sliced turkey that is super moist and always fills me up on the spot. I also love their turkey meatballs.
