Mom is home from the hospital - so hoping to claim more time to prepare food.

QOTD:  I choose ground steak (hamburger steak) - dense meet often makes me nauseated or it comes back up, I have eaten small amounts of steak - but it must be moist and I use A1, salsa, or something to keep it moist.

B: Hot protein shake (Blue Bonnet whey isolate) with Peppermint Paddy SF syrup.

L: Pouch of  Lemon Pepper tuna with chopped boiled egg and a couple tablespoons of organic cottage cheese (for moisture)- I won't be able to eat all of it - I throw away the rest.

S: Parmesan cheese crisps, beef jerky

D: 3-!00% pork meatballs and some Amish cheese

S: 0% unflavored Fage greek yogurt with some SF flavored syrup

I will be drinking unsweetend green iced tea, water, hot black tea with organic half and half

S: Starbucks London Fog (earl grey tea latte) with SF vanilla syrup and skim milk - YUM my FAV

IF?? I have all the above snacks I should be at:

1100 Calories, 60 grams carbs and 130 gm protein

I've lost 2 pounds.  Chocolate has been calling my name - but I haven't given in!!!

Good morning Daisy and menu peeps! Well Daisy your admonition to get my ears checked was right on. I posted on Facebook so some people know that I went to the doctor yesterday and ended up having a double ear infection and swollen glands and yikes got 14 days of anabiotic's holy cow. My was wondering yesterday while during exercise it was so hard  and all I could think about was my cup of coffee.  I don't feel as bad as all that sounds, but I know I need the rest so I slept late this morning. That's why am on so late.

So yesterday was interesting food because by the time I got out of the doctors office and got the meds the stuff it was like getting home between two and three in the afternoon and all it had was 8 ounces of Fairlife milk and two babybel cheeses. So I had stopped at Costco on the way and picked up their chicken salad and chicken soup so I would have food yes a few veggies loading in the chicken soup but I needed things that I didn't have to make.  Also as I was resting after I got home I did put a quest bar next to me for when I needed food so I wouldn't have to get up. And last night I was whining on Facebook about how I wanted something good to eat then Maryann gave me the idea of ordering Chinese so a good hot and sour soup does a lot for the soul and the sinuses.  Along with a little bit of egg foo young  and boneless spare rib that round it out the night again even though weren't there were a few veggies floating around the soup I figured the other two were at least protein and minimal veggies.  So it was kind of a crazy day, but I was OK with it. While I don't always do MFP, I'm crazy days I do just to check myself. Before the Chinese I have eaten maybe half my normal calories. So that was why I felt OK with it. No rice and threw out all the noodles and fortune cookies.

I do love a CAMAW reset... and do them periodically for a few days. Not necessarily a whole week. My weight is the same as Monday, but it was in a good place to start 166.

Today's food? Soup and more of the above, lots of fluids.

QOTD: steak is #1 from the beginning. In winter I use s big cast iron skillet drizzle a little Olive oil in the pan then grind salt and pepper right into pan. Place steak on searing hot pan so it browns, once flipped turn heat down and finish cooking. I buy the petite sirloin avlot from Target because they are the perfect size.

As Daisy said hope all are getting better around here!

Day 4!!

I managed to stay off the scale this morning.  So I have no idea what is going on weight wise.  I know I feel better and have more energy so I'll take the win.  This challenge and coming here has made me so much more accountable.  I love it. I had gotten off track, and weighing and cutting out the carbs? Huge help. and the protein bars.  I can't believe how much I was addicted to them, and how much mindless eating I was doing.  Almonds? Sure-grab a handful.  Sugar free candy? Well it is sugar free.  This has been a great reset.  I'm thinking I'm going to keep going for the full 7 days.  I'm feeling great and in control and again?  I LOVE it.

Glad to hear you are feeling better.  I agree with this weather.  I'm not loving it.  I can't wait for summer again. Long evenings, BBQ's, HEAT! LOL

QOTD: Hands down Steak!  I grew up with fish, oh so much fish. You name it we had it. I remember as a kid I asked my parents-Someday when we have money can we have steak?  Side note: We were NOT poor, and at the time we were eating lobsters. LOL   I still get teased about that today.

Breakfast: Turkey bacon 4 slices with Heinz 57 sauce. Tea with Restoralax.

Snack:  Light and fit Greek yogurt

Lunch: 4oz of stead with Heinz 57 sauce

Snack: Buddin deli pack-Turkey

Supper: 4oz chicken with Greek seasoning and tzatziki sauce.

Won't need another snack after that.

Question-Does anyone here take a pre-workout drink? I've been looking at a few but not sure about them. The guys in the store are great, but I figured I'd ask the question here to get some real input.

Have a great day everyone!

Lori

Good morning DD2 and crew!  CAMAW day FOUR!

QOTD:  meat not being my favorite choice, I would choose anything raw.  I made a hamburger patty the other day and bar ly cooked it.  It was completely raw inside, and I melted a little cheese over top.  It was so good.  I felt totally guilty eating it because of all the warnings about eating raw burger, but I bought high-end beef so.  I also love steak if it is really really rare.  And some fish.  I love sashimi.  So in essence I guess I am a caveperson.

B:  Premier Protein chocolate with lots of coffee

L:  1 oz brie and Jalapeno tuna packet

D:  3 oz hamburger patty with melted cheese

S:  Yoplait Protein cherry yogurt, 1 ricotta bake w/bacon (thanks Mari)

Totals: 716 calories 87 protein 24 carbs 30 fat

I could not get my hamburger patty in last night, too full.  Trying again today.  I did make some of achelle's ricotta bake recipe... vanilla ricotta bake, chocolate ricotta bake, and one with bacon and seasonings (I left out the mushrooms and tomatoes because of meat week).  And in honor of full disclosure:  I tasted the chocolate ricotta bake which had COCOA powder in it which is not CAMAW compliant.  I did not realize until after I tasted it and only had a quarter of a slice.  But technically I have cheated.  Yuck.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm so weird... I order my steaks rare at a restaurant... and my burgers med-well...

I just can't get the texture of the ground beef... of course, that's the same reason I'm not a fan of yogurt.

Just weird like that.

That brie looks divine!!!
