What's on your Menu Today (Thursday) RNYers - Day 4 of AMAW/CAMAW!
My wife did that to me last week! I was going crazy looking for my keys and she calls me all frantic saying "I hope you have a spare car key cause I just reached into my pocket and found your keys!" No I don't have a spare key so she had to come all the way home. Guess what? I have a spare key now! LOL!

Good morning Daisy and menu gang, your steak looks sooo good and your right BBQ is the only way to cook a steak. Still not feeling great. I feel like I'm in a fog. I'm doing well with CAMAW. I needed the reset. I was 100 %compliant before Christmas but let some snacking creep in. It's incredible how easy it is for the carb monster to take over. You think you have things under control and you can justify why your going to eat something but then I think in the end your just sabotaging yourself. Then you beat yourself up, rinse and repeat. Lesson for me, stay away from the crap.
QOTD : My favorite protein is ham and recently I have been loving shrimp. I'm looking forward to a nice tender steak on the BBQ.
Menu
B 1 egg omlett, 15 grs of cheddar, 2 oz of ham
L Protein Drink
D 3 oz of ham
S 3 / 4 cup of plain Greek yogurt
Totals 644 calories 85.5 grams of protein
Have a good day everyone.
Hello Everyone,
I'm doing well with CAMAW. I'm not hungry in general much and it's also pretty much the way I always eat minus a few veggies so I've not noticed huge differences yet. I started the week at 188.3 and I'm now 187.2 so only a pound so far. I do feel thinner though. My weight fluctuates so much though that you really can't tell from a few days. I have had two days where I couldn't finish the food I planned but that appears to be normal too. I am learning though that once I've lost all my extra weight this will be a great way to stay on or get back on track!
QOTD: My favorite dense protein is shrimp. It always goes down easy and I can eat a lot of it in comparison to denser meat like steak, pork and chicken. I like it anyway but my favorite is shrimp ****tail!
B: decaf coffee, protein hot chocolate, 1 babybel
L: 2.5 oz Chicken sausage, decaf coffee and half and half
D: 2.5 oz Chicken thigh
S: Tuna pouch, balsamic, string cheese

It's still warm and raining. I think it's supposed to stop later on today through tomorrow but rain again Saturday. I can't imagine what it would be like having ice like some of you. The whole city would be shut down for sure!
CAMAW has been great! The only critter I've had is creamer in my coffee every morning. Next time I want to prepare better for more meat variety. Since I eat so little I eat the same things over and over and over and I'm already not hungry so it makes it harder to eat. My scale quit working so I have NO clue if I have lost weight!! I need to buy a new one but I don't know how off it will be from my other scale and previous weight. I am so angry because here I am teetering towards Onederland and I may have missed it...as in the first 199 or lower reading! I can tell my pants are getting baggy. Oh well, there's nothing I can do now so no point in getting worked up about it.
QOTD: STEAK is my #1 and ribeye is my favorite cut. Steak and brisket (my #2) sit in my stomach the best! It is the strangest thing and I don't know how to explain it but when I eat those I feel like a "normal full". Like a good satisfying full. Everything else is a lumpy uncomfortable full. It's weird but I can feel the food in there like it doesn't settle well. For some reason I don't do that with dense beef.
During lunch I'm going to cook one of my chicken & blue cheese sausages here at work. I ran out of time last night but I did cook my cajun bacon and it is SO good! And it looks like I might have to fight the family for it hahaha.
B - 3 strips of delicious cajun bacon, coffee with creamer and miralax
L - Chicken & blue cheese sausage
S - rotisserie chicken
D - Meatloaf!!! Hubby is cooking meatloaf tonight. I haven't had it since WLS. I can't wait!

Morning my menu family!!
Things are going well for me with the CAMAW! Last night though, I was finding myself struggling a bit, really kept wanting to grab a handful of nuts, or a bite of this, or a taste of something else that wasn't meat! I finally ate a few mints, then I actually chewed on two ADK vitamins in my bathroom just before I brushed my teeth because I couldn't' stop thinking about a snack! Vitamins are CAMAW friendly, though, right?!
QOTD: Beef has always been the easiest for me since surgery... namely, steak. I like mine rare, possibly on the Med-rare side. I do like it warm inside, but if it's dripping red juices, then it's probably done too much. Ribeye bone-in are my favorites, but nowadays, I can't really gnaw on the bones like I used to, so I rarely buy them bone-in. I typically buy this much cheaper cut called chuck-eye for my weekly meals. I can get them for around $5/pound, and since I like them so rare, they are still relatively tender.... but boy, don't over heat that sucker the next day, beacuse you WILL be chewing on show leather! I imagine I will be trying out oh so many cuts of beef over the next year or so... swoon
My menu changed up a little yesterday. I didn't eat the brisket for lunch, I ate steak (I brought extra food up here for the week so I'd have a variety, and that's what I picked), so TODAY I had the brisket for breakfast! I ate most of the fat. It was DELISH!
Today's menu... I"m going out to Zoe's Kitchen for lunch, this will prove to be a real challenge for me. NO HUMMUS!!! Whaaaaaaa???! I am going to order the steak kabob, and see if they have cottage cheese instead of the most amazing braised white beans ever...
Weight... Mon 157.0, Tues 157.2, Wed 156.4, Thurs 156.0 Score!!!
Menu today...
B: Brisket!
L: steak kabob, and maybe some cottage cheese if they have that as a side... can hummus be considered a condiment??! (ok, ok... I can do this without hummus this time!)
D: Going to do an 'up the butt' chicken... beer can chicken to most? (My family is demented... we pose the chicken as it goes into the oven! Gotta get the wing-ends as crispy as possible!!
Not hitting the gym today, as lunch time will be with an ex coworker who hasn't seen me since prior to surgery...
Picture is of the pork loin I made last night. I'm not a huge fan of those pre-marinated loins, usually, but this one was topped with a hearty bit of BACON on top... Hubby picked it up at the grocery store... it really is good! Smithfield brand, I believe... LOOK AT ALL THAT YUMMY CRISPY BACON!!!!!
