What's on your Menu Today (Thursday) RNYers - Day 4 of AMAW/CAMAW!

Good morning! I am putting this up and then going back to read and catch up...
Day four and I feel great. I am really thinking that cutting cheese and nuts has been very positive for me. I hadn't ever considered that some of my feelings of snackiness was being triggered by my consumption of those things. The best part of this challenge for me, is the return of feeling more in control of my feelings surrounding food. I do wonder if the accountability of the group isn't part of that, too. My question: is this a seven or five day "week" challenge? I am hoping for seven.
QOTD: My favorite protein foods would definitely be seafood. In fact, if I could eat nothing but seafood, I would be extraordinarily happy - but alas, it's just not affordable or practical. Unfortunately, I cannot eat lobster, shrimp and scallops every day. SO, with that in mind, I would say my order is:
- Shrimp (seafood)
- Chicken
- Steak (especially ribeye)
- Bacon
- Sausage
AMAW Day 4 -- Here's my planned menu for the day. As always, I will edit with accurate measures/pics and corrections as I eat through the day.

I think one of the best parts of weighing and logging food is the control we have. Weight always felt out of control before. Now, it's like driving a car. Step on the gas, step on the brake. The scale goes where we point it.
And yes, coming here and posting is a great source of accountability.
I think the challenge is five days. But you and I can keep going. I dare you. I double dog dare you. First one that blinks . . .

The first AMAW challenge I did gave me a similar realization--nuts are gateway foods for me! I was relying on almonds for way to much protein and I cut waaaaay down after the first challenge. I still have a few servings a week, but I was really happy to use AMAW to figure out what was not really working for me.
I think the accountability of this group is a big part of what makes me successful every day. I have no idea why I care what a person who I have never met, who lives in another state thinks of my menu, but somehow, the combination of the peer pressure and loving accountability really does help keep me honest. Not to say I don't totally mess up, here and there--even when I am posting here, daily. But I am more apt to really be honest with myself about it. Having people to fess up to (who get the struggle) helps a lot, too.

this SO much. And I agree, when I talk about my "friends" on OH, my husband looks blankly at me like I've lost my mind haha. But I consider you all my weight loss family, you REALLY get it. Even when I eat an order of cheese curds. By myself.

This group is what I refer to as my 'support group'... Of course, my husband knows that it's the OH board, and that I haven't met any of you in person yet - YET - seriously... that needs to happen! Who's coming to Oklahoma in the near future??!
I even quoted 'my friend' yesterday on Facebook... Grim... you are now famous - for being my friend, of course!
The accountability is priceless, but so are the menu ideas, recipes, and ideas each of you share with all of us. I love it here, thanks for putting up with me! I seriously believe that I wouldn't be as successful as I am with all of you here to help me out.
