What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers? Day 3 of AMAW/CAMAW!
Good Morning all. Today I will try to figure out how to post a photo. First time for me (don't laugh too hard, I'm older than most you and computers are not my thing). I didn't take photo's of each of my meals yesterday so I will try to take more today. Since I have been eating as close to carb free as I can for over a month now, I don't expect to see a huge change in weight or size this week. But I feel so much better eating this way that I plan on sticking with it. Not to say I won't or don't eat carbs, I just limit them to vegetables and healthier ones. B: coffee L: Jack Daniels Pulled Pork (see photo) D: roasted chicken breast S: pork rinds
Sorry about the size! Like I said I don't know what I'm doing!!!
I am old also, so if you can figure this picture thing out, then I have got to try to do it...lol

Good morning. Well, we've found a temporary solution to the daycare issue, and while it may not be as fun as daycare, it works for us and I'm happy with the deicision. When I called my mom to ask her to watch my son for the rest of the week, since everyone else is not able to, I explained what was going on. She offered to watch my son full time, and even said "and I'll even allow you to pay me for it". LOL, My mom is currently unable to work. She has COPD and Kidney disease. She has always been a very active person, and her jobs have always been very physical. She had done shipping and receiving jobs for years, mostly working in a warehouse. Now she is unable to do that kind of work becuase of the physical demands. He got a job a few months ago cleaning hotel rooms, hoping to be able to make a living that way, but wasn't able to keep up with the work there either. She just turned 63 and is trying to get disability insurance, but that is not easy to do. She's not eligible for full social security until she is 66, so hasn't started to draw yet. She's been out of work for nearly a year, and my stepdad has been supporting them with his social security and a full time job (he's 69 and drives a school bus, but really wants to retire). She'll be helping me by being reliable daycare and charging me a lot less than I would pay at a professional daycare, and we'd be helping to supplement her income. It's a win/win situation. She is really excited and went out and bought craft stuff yesterday, and I left Kal's carseat with her today and she plans on going out and doing fun stuff with him. I'm actually excited about it. What makes me a little nervous is telling both my sister in law and my mother in law about the new daycare plan. I'll let my hubby deal with his mom, and I'll let me sis in law know that she needs to focus on her health for a bit.
I did really well yesterday. and I'm prepared for today.
17 months 2 weeks since surgery
B: egg cup and coffee with sugar free coffeemate
L: 6oz of roast beef deli meat and 1.5oz of reduced fat cheddar (I packed extra in case I get the urge to eat off plan)

totals:
Calories 1076 Protein 117 Carbs 36 Fat 51
I have A TON of food here with me today, I honestly probably won't eat all of it, but it's logged and I have it in case I try to make bad choices later in the day.
Perfect Solution! Glad you're able to help your mom, and she's able to help you!

love that you have a great solution for Kal, its works for you and works for your Mom how awesome is that!!
Awesome on doing well yesterday and being prepared and prepped for today, you got this! You didn't come this far without knowing what you are doing!
I think your menu is fantastic and its great that you are packing more protein just in case, that's really great!
Looking forward to your Day 4 menu and what goodies you will have!! Keep up the great work D!
The similarities between your mom and mine are uncanny. My mom is 62, was hurt in a car accident and is off work right now. My step dad is 71, has a pension but works as a bus driver to supplement their income. And he would really like to retire.
