What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers? Day 3 of AMAW/CAMAW!
Morning menu peeps! We had lots of bad thunderstorms over night and are supposted to have more throughout the day. There was a lot of flooding in the area with business and school closures but luckily where I live and my rout to work was not bad.
Meat week has been awesome! I am never hungry. Yesterday I really had to make myself eat. I ended up sharing a bone in ribeye steak with my husband. It was so good!
QOTD: My city is NOT very recycle friendly. A couple of years ago they handed out blue plastic bags that we were supposed to put plastic and glass in but nobody was complying. People were just using them for trash bags so they did a way with it. It makes me sad.
I know, my menu is so boring and repetitive. I'm still so new out I can't eat very much at a time so food lasts forever!!
B - 3 strips of bacon, coffee with creamer & miralax
L - pork tenderloin
S - rotisserie chicken
D - Chicken thigh
I did find some yummy looking bacon to try and some chicken & blue cheese sausage at Central Market yesterday. I will be cookin this up tonight!

Hope everyone was safe & sounds around all the flooding, water can be so dangerous!
What awesome news that you are not hungry, the magic of AMAW/CAMAW right!
I am sure your hubby was happy to share the steak LOL
Boo on your not recycle friendly town, that sucks!!
Great menu and let us know how the cajun bacon is when you eat it! Keep up the awesome work you are doing so well!! Looking forward to seeing what you have on your menu for Day 4.

Sorry if this posts twice. I'm having internet weirdness.
Just checking in to tell you that I tried the bacon and gruyere bites at Starbucks. Expensive but not bad! I thought they were pretty tasty and the consistency was better than when try making them at home (not as wet and spongy). Only complaints were that they were very greasy and I wish you could order just one. Two was too much.
Off to find the mystery conference!

Yeah - I had the egg white version Saturday on my way to the doctor's office. Not greasy, but a little too mushy for my taste. But it was very filling. I was glad my wife ate a big bite of one to taste it. I'd get them if I need something out. The Special K frozen section version is actually better tasting (doesn't have cereal - has Quinoa to add texture) has only slightly more calories. Also a great carry along item and not as mushy.
Have fun in Vegas. Love that town. Stay away from the Garrett's popcorn :)

Good morning!
I wasn't looking forward to just meat for dinner - sorry. So I found a two ingredient recipe from Rachel Ray - Egg Drop Soup. I took an unopened box of Chicken Broth (1 of many left over from liquid post surgery phase - so good use) brought to a boil and then slowly dumped in 3 beaten eggs. Delicious. And lots of left overs for a few more days. Great way to make my favorite soup without all the sodium or cornstarch! Made dinner exciting - for me at least.
We did recycle and then we didn't have a good place for the bin after a kitchen remodel and now we don't. I prefer that we do, but not a battle I wish to raise right now. I do at work. Actually we moved to a LEEDs building - which I guess means we are big recyclers. My regular trash can at my desk is so small that it doesn't fit my 2 empty 8 ounce disposable food containers I use and my premier protein drink container. Okay I guess I'm not sustainable, as I prefer not to drag home dirty containers. Also means there are no disposable eating containers or plastic silverware here in our lunch area - ugh.
B - Greek Yogurt and Flax
L - Salmon salad I made Sunday
D - More Rotisserie Chicken - I might drop the container accidentally tonight and let the dogs go nuts. Egg Drop Soup too - yum!
S - 1/2 pack of Turkey Jerkey; Premier Banana Cream Protein drink

It is nice to have variety in your meals, no doubt about it that is why we only do this for one week, certain people (ahem Grim!) can live on meat along but I to love my veggies, eggs & cheese!
Your "egg drop soup" sounds lovely!! Good job for staying on CAMAW Alan!
Boo on not recycling at home (leave that battle for another day) but awesome that your work is very pro "Green" that is awesome!
Your menu is awesome, lots of great protein there! Keep up the great work, I look forward to your Day 4 menu!
Sorry I have been away. Took Monday off of work because the kiddo and Guy were both off for MLK Day. Then Tuesday was just a crazy mess at work and I didn't have time to do anything but put out fires. Today is looking crazy busy too. Wheee! Tomorrow and Friday I am off to Arizona for a conference so traveling will make OH dicey at best. Internet is often not my friend when I am out of town.
CAMAW is a total bust for me. Turned out this was just not the week for it. Being home Monday threw me off because the family all wanted "real" food. I made a beef stew in the Instant Pot and it was protein forward and low carb but did have veggies in it. Last night I made a veggie chicken stir fry. Overall good choices but veggies happened. I have been doing much better with my night time snacking problem. Finding that I am really just thirsty and drinking more water seems to be a big help.
QOTD: Not much of a recycler. Our little town doesn't have any recycle service so we put aside clean dry stuff and take it to the recycle dumpster by the town center but I know we could recycle more if there was an easier way to do it.
Menu: B: Greek yogurt with granola and grapes; L: Left over beef stew; D: No clue...will be on the road to get to the city for an early flight in the morning. Likely BBQ brisket. S: No clue.
Accountability: This morning I weighed 121.6. All good. Still worried re-gain is coming but so far I am holding my own.
Have a great week everyone! See you Monday.
