What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers? Day 3 of AMAW/CAMAW!
on 1/18/17 7:37 pm - GTA, Ontario, Canada
that IGallop is wicked awesome! I had no idea those kinds of things exist. What a great idea. Is it for practice to get better riding a horse or for exercise or both (please educate this totally ignorant girl on all things horsey)
I am so glad you are enjoying this challenge! And I love that you said you have to keep doing this after meat week. You know I have been thinking that same thing for the last 3 days. Why can't we keep this going in our own lives/households. You are on to something there!
Love that you are an avid recycler and how awesome that you get money back on your cans! We only get money back here if we take Beer Bottles back. Well I am not am not aware of getting money back for cans, maybe I need to research that!
I have a confession... I have never had a pork rind! Such a loser right! I so need to try some, especially these flavored ones you all have! They sound delish!
Great looking menu, keep up the awesome work I really look forward to your Day 4 menu!!
Good morning, Daisy and menu family! It's a short day for me, so I'm trying to get this post out of the way so I can get all of my work done before leaving at noon to move the pigs into the show barn! I'm so ready for this. We've been working hard with these little piggies...well, they're not little any more...and I'm ready to see my kids shine. Please wish them luck!
QOTD: We don't really have recycling in my small town. We don't have bins or anything like that, but I do recycle as much as I can. I don't buy small trash bags, we use grocery sacks for our small trash cans...that's recycling, if you ask me. Any aluminum cans...which there are a lot, as my husband has an affair with Coors Light.....get saved and taken to a metal recycling company here in town. The kids are in charge of saving the cans and bagging them up, so they get the $$$ for vacation, and we sell the cans once a year. We recycle any leftover feed from the pigs...it goes to the chickens....all the hay and shavings that we clean out of the barn get used as compost around trees, and in the chicken pen to help with erosion and as a water saving mechanism. So, as for glass, plastic, paper, etc....not really, but we do recycle as much stuff as we possibly can. Oh...cat litter....when it's time to replace the scooped litter, we find places in the driveway...our driveway is gravel...that might have oil spots. I have also been known to take used cooking oil/grease and killed weeds along our fence line. I also use bacon grease as wormer for our precious pups. They lap it up, and it works! Random extra thoughts there. LOL
CAMAW yesterday went well!!

E: LOTS OF WALKING!!! Last stock show we had...I had nine miles under my belt in that one day, so I'm sure I'll reach my goal!
Little NSV>>>>I used to wear pants that were made for men....because I have no ass, and mens' jeans don't have as much ass room. LOL Great terminology, I know! Last night, hubby was cleaning out his closet. He found two pairs of brand new jeans that were a little too big for him (he wears them under his belly), so he told me to try them on! Well folks...I finally have a pair of jeans that actually fit!!! I only tried on the one pair, but it won't be long before I am shopping in his closet a little more.....
Have a great day, folks!

Fingers, toes and tails crossed the kids and piggies score some medals!!! Excited, report back to us!!
Boo on no recycle program but yay for $$ for vacation!!! And you are also one of those on the board here that is able to use all their waste for the animals, I love that!! Wow you are super resourceful!!
Does the cooking oil/grease really kill weeds? We have one side of our lawn that butts up to the neighbours that during the summer has *****le weeds that are taller than me! I would love to know if it works and not have to use chemicals!
So glad you are doing so well on CAMAW, so impressed!! And down 2 more, girl you are killing this meat week! Yay for Jerky!! LOL
I think its so cute and sweet that you have "new" jeans for you out of hubby's closet, that's a fabulous NSV for sure!
Keep up the great work, looking forward to your Day 4 menu!
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family,
CAMAW is going great! I'm proud to say I have stuck to it and haven't eaten any carbs. I am down one pound so far.
QOTD: We live outside of town and have a rural trash collector who doesn't collect recycling things so we have to drive into town to take things to the big recycling bins. We take paper, cardboard, plastics and other stuff to the big recycling bins when we have a bunch of it stored up.

L: Jack Daniel's Pulled chicken
D: Rib-eye steak (shared with my daughter)

Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday everyone!
