What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers? Day 3 of AMAW/CAMAW!

Well, you know that I completely agree with you about the scale. White Dove says it best -- every weight gain in my life has occurred during a time when I wasn't weighing myself. I weigh every day.
While I don't have a "goal" -- I do have a number that is my red alert. For me, it is 140. When I hit 140, I know that I actively have to reduce my intake and get back into my range. I am 5'5" -- so 140 puts me at a 23.2 BMI (still "normal") -- I have to hit 151 to be "moderately overweight" -- so this gives me a cushion to get back on track. I've only hit the alert number once -- and that was after having my three hernias repaired last year. I was bloated on water and gas from the longer-than-expected procedure.
I tend to maintain between 125 (20.8) and 135 (22.4). I am totally happy at the lower range, but truthfully, it's not worth it to maintain. There's no point living just to get a number. My family and husband seem to be most complimentary when I am at the 135 to 137 range. I think they all go into a panic when I go lower. I've gone as low as 120 -- but that's when the are you sure you aren't sick/anorexic/dying conversations started... HAHAHAHA. Yes. I am sure.
I would never have believed at 347 pounds that the day would ever come when friends and family would worry about me eating too little!

The lowest I hit last summer after surgery and my bonus fall and ER visit was 161. I like 163-165...I am usually 165-167... 170-172 is my red alert... But I am 5'11" tall... I am below 24% bodyfat which at my age is considered 'lean' and below average. Bodyfat calculates a little different than BMI. First time it's ever been a plus to be below average.... hahaha
I can still look at myself somedays and think 'not that thin' esp. when I look at my thighs.... the mind thing...really need to wrestle with the mind...

Your post speaks to me on a deep level Kat.
I am also 5'5" and I like to be 125... have been closer to 130 as of late. Oddly I keep getting asked by many many people if I am losing more weight as I look "skinner" and yet I on any given day I have technically put on a few pounds. I can't explain it.
I love how you said "its not worth it to maintain." I am thinking I might change my "comfort zone" to 130 -135 lbs. Its in my head, totally in my head that I need to be comfortable with that because apparently I look thinner at 130 than I did at 125... again can't explain it!
I love how you make this look easy, really you do and its a compliment! Keep up the great work girl!

OMG, I could have COMPLETELY written the same post. SERIOUSLY.
Over Christmas, despite not wavering in my eating, I was averaging about 137 most days. Everyone kept going on about how I looked thinner and asking if I'd lost more weight. Oddly, my waist size has gone down -- and I fit into the same jeans I wore at the high 120's.
In another post, I mentioned that into my 3rd year (since we are a month a part) -- I have noticed that my body has filled out and the skin thing has definitely improved. Vets kept telling me that we tend to even out after the first two years. I think (as always) they were right.
Sounds like we are in the same place. I am so glad I did this challenge -- it's nice to meet someone at the same place in their journey. (Grim hates that description -- Snicker.)

I think we are the same age Kat or I might be older than you but will you adopt me! I wanna be in your house! LOL
I love that you call yourself a raging workaholic... and multi tasker, well its good you can admit it LOL
I am super duper impressed on your recycling skills! WOW you make me feel insignificant cuz I put some compost out and some recycling LOL
I am thrilled that you are so happy with AMAW, I knew you would kick ass at it!
I am loving your menu, and want to steal it. I don't think they have those tuna creations in the pouch here in Canada (maybe and I just have not found them) but I would so love the buffalo flavoured one! We have tuna creations but in a tiny can, no pouches.
Your numbers are amazeballs and 9 carbs is wicked awesome! Keep up the great work, can't wait to see what you have in store for Day 4!
on down from 134.5 to 128.6 - killin it!!

I just turned 46 last Saturday -- come on over -- I've always wanted a daughter, too!
I don't know if I'd be too upset about the lack of Tuna Creation pouches -- because you get to live in Canada. You have that super cute prime minister -- Justin Trudeau. I'd gladly trade you some pouches of tuna!
I think I could make a better buffalo tuna using some sriracha sauce. Overall, it was good for a quick grab lunch, but it wasn't all that.
Another happy coincidence is that we are the same height and appear to have had surgery about a month apart.
Hope you are feeling better!

We will have to settle for being "sisters" we are the same age (I will turn 46 this June), I thought you were in your 30s!! WIN!! LOL
Come on up to Canada!! I do have some spare bedrooms but they are spoken for by JB & Grim, Stacyrg & Mamata2. I have couches!!! LOL And yes JT our Prime Minister is a total cutie!!
I think I need to make something "buffalo," either chicken or tuna I love spicy and love that flavour combo. For sure when AMAW is done I am getting down on that!
I totally agree it is so great to "meet" someone who is pretty much in the exact same place as me on my "journey" lol
I am feeling better thank you!
Hey I get a couch too! Want to come up and meet the pups and play with them :)
