What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers? Day 3 of AMAW/CAMAW!
It is really easy to add an extra slice of cheese to something. An extra slice of American cheese is 100 calories, and 100 calories a day is 10 pounds in a year. No wonder people think they are eating exactly the same, and don't know why they are gaining.
Can I use this line? I think it's brilliant, and it made me stop and think... Thanks!

Why is it that we know this stuff but some times it take someone else to say it before we change? I think cutting out or at least back on my cheese is what my body needs now! Thank you for the info!

You are my kind of person!
YES -- I do the same thing! No bones get tossed here before they are made into stock. I also use shells and fish heads to make my fish/seafood stock.
I have very little food waste. I use expiring milk to make my bread, ricotta, and yogurt. I freeze eggs (because we have chickens) ---
and all left over bread/crackers becomes croutons or bread crumbs for my husband and son's food.
I like to say I am frugal -- but really -- I am cheap and like high-quality food.
HAHAHAHA.

I do the same thing with bread. I make croutons and bread crumbs. I like them better then anything I can get in the store. Plus, I know what is in them.
I love making stock. There is nothing that smells more delicious than a pot of stock simmering away on the stove, particularly in the winter. I have made it in the InstaPot, but it is not the same, homey feel. I make a lot of my chicken stock into pho stock. Yummy!
Not cheap. Just particular.

I haven't seen the Buffalo tuna pouch.... looks yummy
I give you credit Kat, keeping such low numbers... It is one thing early out.... As you point out though sometimes it is the choices, not necessarily overeating. ... Can't believe you even have 6lbs to lose....

Truthfully, I never allow myself to hit "goal." If I come within 5 pounds, then I make it lower. It's a mental game with me. I need to view myself as never hitting the finish line to constantly stay in the race. That's part of my Type A personality. I've learned to embrace it rather than fight it.

While I have given myself a "goal" not by choice but by bottoming out.... many in my real-life support groups don't understand my weigh every day strategy... they are all like "Get off the scale" Nope. Nope. Nope.... that is how I got morbidly obese.... Plus I am still capable of gaining 5,6 or 7lbs in a week....
