What's on your Menu today (Tuesday) RNYers? DAY 2 of AMAW/CAMAW
on 1/17/17 8:15 pm - GTA, Ontario, Canada
LOL Alan, I bet your dogs are thrilled that Dad is doing CAMAW week, they get extra treats!!
Good for you for not eating the biscotti and having the yogurt, that is an awesome win!
I will for sure check out that plan or one similar to it up here in Canada. Thanks for that!
Your wife is too funny! How did she think you were going to polish off a whole chicken by yourself? You could chop it up and freeze some portions for later so you don't waste it. Or give it to the dogs, my two Labs are allergic to chicken so they can't have it but if yours can its great protein for them. But its very nice that your wife was thinking of you and wanted to "help out" and get you some protein.
Keep up the great work Alan, I am super proud of how well you are doing on CAMAW, you got this!
Looking forward to your menu tomorrow for Day 3!
Doing a quick check-in because it is late already adn will go back and catch up with everyone's post later
Went to Ortho yesterday....this is the one I 've seen before- not the 'neck' guy in the group who they made me see at first. Like him soooooo much better. I guess I like Doctors who actually have a conversation with you. like a person. Imagine that? More PT but wrote very specific script as to what was to be worked on...not like last guy who just wrote 'neck'...hahaha...go back in 6 weeks if still having pain. Told him my script for getting out of pain included Oxy- "I can't take Motrin or anything, don't wnt you to think I'm and Oxy-head or something" His response?- "You absolutely shouldn't take antiinflammatories, and I would've done the same thing" #amen
I was 99.5% CAMAW compliant yesterday. Made a late night run to Walmart for Zicam- because someone on here said it works wonders and think I am fighting off a cold....but once I got home 11PM- not good at getting settling down right away. 2AM got me with the call of "something' and that something was Peanut Butter...and as long as I had the something I ate the few bites of cole slaw that came with yesterday's pastrami sandwich. Who eats cole slaw at 2AM? Ha.
Woke up hungry! So actually ate before my beloved coffee and had to wait for it.....
B: 2 eggs, bacon, cheese....coffee with miralax and fairlife milk
L: Costco cilantro lime shrimp taco bowl with cheese and sour cream
D: Beef?
snacks: this is where I am dying...wanting crunch... - can't eat bacon morning noon and night LOL or can I?
Ex: PT and 30 minutes of something

This is when you ask yourself, "Perhaps peanut butter is a critter?" "Maybe coleslaw a condiment?"
So we can have pork rinds on CAMAW? I guess they're a critter! I don't know why I didn't think of this. I'm really missing a "crunch" with my dinners....since baby dill pickles aren't CAMAW!!!
Pork rinds....yes!!! I'm having trouble figuring out what I am going to eat the rest of the week since we have stock show and I won't be near the house if I absolutely need something!

My favorite CAMAW (or post-WLS-friendly) crunch is home-baked parmesan crisps. There are lots of recipes online. It is just cheese and optional spices! I LOVE to add chili oil for a little kick. Also LOVE to do an "alfredo" version with nutmeg, garlic, and lots of black pepper. In fact, I baked up a bunch today. Yum yum yum. They are so good that I take them to parties, give them as gifts, etc. Yum yum yum. (Oh yeah, I already said yum yum yum.)
