What's on your Menu today (Tuesday) RNYers? DAY 2 of AMAW/CAMAW
on 1/17/17 7:40 pm - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Ugh to forgot your laptop and ice storms!
Sorry to hear you are "up lots." Is there anything I can do to help? I know life is busy but hope you will come here more often so we can support and help you.
Lunch sounds awesome, I love anything Thai flavoured, YUM!
Hope your trainer ride was great, don't be a stranger okay!
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
Glad your headache is a bit better, Daisy. Be careful on the ice! Everything here is covered in a sheet of ice. Every blade of grass and every tree branch is covered with ice. It looks so magical!
I'm glad I don't have to get out and drive on the skating rink though!
QOTD: I'm glad your dad's aortic aneurysm has not grown. Good thinking to suggest swimming to your parents. Water exercise is so helpful. My dad was MO. I'm not sure how much he weighed, but it was probably 350 or more. He died of liver failure due to fatty liver disease. I also have fatty liver disease and that is what prompted me to have RNY. I was told by the liver doctor that I needed to lose weight or else in 5 - 10 years I would be in liver failure! I am happy to say my liver enzymes are now normal again! Daisy, you are so supportive and kind. If anyone can encourage your dad to lose weight, you can! I will keep your dad in my prayers.
I did well with CAMAW yesterday. I didn't eat any carbs at all. I was kind of hungry which is surprising since I was eating all protein, but I think it was craving for carbs. I just ate more protein when I was hungry. I kept forgetting to take pictures of what I ate, but here is one picture of roast beef roll-ups with Laughing Cow white cheddar cheese inside. YUM!
B: 2 eggs, sunny side up, 3 strips bacon
L: Jack Daniel's pulled pork
D: Rib-eye steak
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: Roast beef roll-ups w/ cream cheese
S: 2 wedges Laughing cow white cheddar cheese
Exercise: Exercise bike
Have a great day everyone!

beautiful pic Karen, crazy how ice can be so beautiful and yet so dangerous!
Thanks for sharing the story about your Dad, sorry for your loss. But so glad your liver enzymes have returned back to normal, that's good! Thanks for your prayer on my Dad, that's really appreciated.
So glad you reached for more protein when you found yourself hungry and not carbs, that's a total WIN Karen, yahoo!
Your beef roll ups look yummy, I love laughing cow and will have to look for the creamy white cheddar, sounds yummy!
Great menu, keep up the great work! Looking forward to seeing what you have on your menu & pics for Day 3!
Fly by post this morning. I'm in a hurry at work, a million things to get done before I'm off tomorrow at noon...and off Thursday and Friday.
CAMAW yesterday went well, but I found that I couldn't get all of the food in. I guess it's because I'm still fairly early out.
QOTD: Daisy, I'm so sorry to hear about your parents' struggles. Both of my parents are SMO. I have two sisters that have had RNY, one is at goal and has been there for almost ten years...the other is MO again. My mother tried to get WLS along with me, but she found out that her insurance totally excludes her. My dad, who carries the insurance, is eligible, but he won't do it unless my mother can do it as well. It's a catch 22 situation. *sigh*
Time since RNY: 7 weeks, two days
Weight this morning: 209
B: 2 bacon strips, string cheese
S: Tuna, spicy ranch
L: L'il Smokies, string cheese
S: Venison jerky, string cheese
D: L'il Smokies, cottage cheese
L/V: On track
E: Washing the pigs....again...and I have to catch up on some laundry!!!!!
Have a great day, folks!

Hope you enjoy your extra long weekend! I think that is a total win on not being able to eat all the dense protein on your menu yesterday, that's awesome!
Thanks for sharing the story of your folks and sisters. Congrats to our sister at goal and I hope you will direct your other sister who is struggling here to OH and even the menu board if she is open to it, we would love to have her join us and if we can help and support then that would be awesome! So sorry to hear that your Mom does not quality and your Dad won't do it without her. That would be my parents too, they do everything together, but having said that WLS is not for them, so I echo your *sigh*
Great menu! wow you are doing so well, Onederland is around the corner, you so got this!
Have fun washing the pigs, I bet that is a serious workout!!! Keep up the great work, looking forward to your menu for Day 3!
Good morning Daisy and menu friends, Another late post from me. My best friend works midnights and picked me up to go have tea this morning. Wow, when she dropped me off at the end of my driveway I couldn't believe how hard it was to get to the house. I was slipping everywhere and was terrified, I had a knee replacement last year and am on a waiting list for the next one. I have a real fear of falling. That slight slope in the driveway felt like I was mountain climbing. I'm safe and sound now lol.
Oh Daisy I feel for you, that achy all over feeling really sucks and it dosen't help that it is so damp. Rest well tonight.
I'm glad to hear that your dad's heart condition hasn't worsened since the fall. I don't have any words of advice but I do understand how scared and probably helpless you feel. Does the cardiologist have a heart wise diet that he puts his patients on? Hoping that your dad finds a regimen that works for him.
Menu : I don't have pictures for my menu today. Posting from my phone and I can't add pictures from it.
B 1 egg omlett, 30 grs of cheddar, 1 Oz of ham
L Protein Drink
D 1 Oz of ground turkey, turkey spaghetti sauce
