What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers - START OF AMAW/CAMAW!
on 1/16/17 6:20 pm
Hey Daisy --
Thank you for your kind words. I promise you though - I am cheap! LOL. I am also fortunate to teach at two universities and that I am able to telecommute for 80% of my working time. I am a workaholic, so I don't think I would be able to do all of these things if I couldn't multi-task while working from home much of the time.
To answer about the stevia -- it took me a while to find one that really worked for me. I was a Sweet N Low (saccharine) person before -- but adding up all those packets started to add considerably to my calorie count (they are each nearly 5 calories!) and I was worried about all the fillers in the powder. I try to avoid Nutrasweet/aspertame -- (more about that later...)
This is the brand I buy exclusively now -- I really like it and the 8 oz bottle lasts me a month. I've also included a picture of the little glass dropper that I use to carry it around in my purse. I fill it every two weeks or so.
Now, about the aspartame -- Sadly, my favorite grape flavoring is Crush drops -- loaded with aspartame and other crap, I am sure. I do also Skinny Girl Stevia White Cherry. I feel better about using it -- but it's probably crap, too. HAHAHAHA.
:-) I hope that helps! BTW, the cheapest place that I've found the stevia is on Amazon. The local "health" food store sells it for nearly twice as much. RIP OFF!

I want to get off the Splenda wagon so I am going to try those Stevia drops, thanks!
I will try the grape crush one I think I have seen it at my grocery store... but oddly so many of them give me migraines. I currently have some Crystal light single serve powdered packets in peach that are fine but I got them from the US and I am going to run out soon LOL
I appreciate the recommendations!!!! Thanks so much!
And wow that is a crazy long commute! I thought mine was long but you got me beat! Glad you can work from home and multi task!
Good Morning! Sorry you have a migraine-I hope you feel better soon. Great job for sticking with AMAW anyways!! I love the chili lime burgers-Yummy.
I had a nice weekend and got some fabulous new rain boots (can't wait for it to rain later this week so I can wear them) and then we decided to go to Ikea again yesterday. We din't buy a ton but had a great time plus I get to crochet in the car on the way there and most of the way back.
I will try to remember to take photos of my meals before I eat them!

I love your rain boots they were so stylish!
Great looking menu, you are always killing it!
A co-worker said the burgers made her belch a lot but I didn't have that issue.
Thanks! I love a challenge and it keeps me accountable. For instance, if I wasn't in the challenge I would have taken a few of Em's cheez-its after dinner tonight. But I won't cheat, another 10 mins and I will make my decaf latte... I can wait!!
Hope you feel better!
QOTD- My family is verbally supportive, but they don't eat like I do. They even offer me junk they know I shouldn't eat pretty regularly. I live with a house full of saboteurs! We went to Earth Fare Saturday for meat shopping and hubs got all excited, he bought out the place. He then proceeded to tell me (in detail) how delicious the meats we bought would be when made into sandwiches. Jerk! :X
