What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers - START OF AMAW/CAMAW!
Thanks Liz, head is still crappy but working on rest and getting better.
I didn't end up eating the Chilli lime burger, I forgot to defrost them so I will eat it tomorrow or Wednesday. I did have Trader Joes Turkey Meatballs for dinner tonight with a bit of spaghetti sauce, they were awesome! Will review the chilli lime burgers when I cook them. But I know JB loves them.
I am thinking of getting a gas line installed for our bbq, we use it so much and I get so sick of dragging that heavy ass propane tank back and forth to get filled up so will for sure look into it!
Hope you are healing well and look forward to your update tomorrow on getting the wrapping off!!
We gave our gas grill away, we just never used it, we do all of our grilling on charcoal, the taste is so much better. During fair weather we grill about every night

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family and Happy Meat Week!
Daisy, I am so sorry you have a bad migraine! I have a prescription migraine medicine that I can take when I get a migraine that really gets rid of the migraine for me. It's called Amerge (Naratriptan). You might want to ask your doctor about it. It really works!
We are in an ice storm and everything is a sheet of ice! I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere today!
QOTD: My daughter eats whatever she wants and will continue to do that during Meat week. She gets microwave meals so they are easy for her to fix. When I cook the rib-eye steak, though, she eats half of mine since I can't eat a whole one.
B: 2 eggs, sunny side up, 3 strips bacon
L: pulled pork
D: rib-eye steak
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: Roast beef roll-ups with cream cheese
Exercise: Riding the exercise bike
Have a great day everyone and enjoy that meat!

be safe in the ice storm Karen, we are getting it tonight into tomorrow. I am not looking forward to my commute to the train tomorrow if its as bad as they say it is. Many many years ago I took Amerge for my migraines, didn't work for me but thank you for the recommendation. I do need to speak to my doc to have something strong on hand when needed.
Good looking menu, you got this CAMAW thing for sure!
Good AMAW Monday morning menu gang!! I am so glad this challenge started today. I have horrible elephant legs and I'm up 5 pounds. No doubt it's water weight. I pray I'm not fixing to have a flare up!! I start a new gym this morning and I am super excited.
QOTD- Yes my whole family is starting AMAW this morning and they are actually excited. I boiled 2 dozen of eggs for them (CAMAW) I thought that would be easy for lunch boxes and on the go snacks and meals. My grocery cart looked crazy with all of the carnivore selections and 5 dozen of eggs.

I am sorry to hear you are swollen and up 5 lbs, at least you know its all water weight. But that sucks. I hope you enjoyed your new gym, that sounds awesome!
I LOVE that your family is doing AMAW/CAMAW with you, how awesome is that! I wish you had of taken a pic of your grocery cart, that would have been awesome to see all that meat and eggs!
Great menu, you got this DG. Hope you feel better soon!
I'm home today for the holiday so the kids and I are playing Chopped (like the tv show) for lunch. Today is pizza edition so I will have to be creative to stay within the CAMAW guidelines. Too expensive for everyone to do CAMAW all week unfortunately! With these growing boys especially, they need carbs for energy and to fill them up

I love that you are playing Chopped with your kids! I have developed a thing for that show and the kid episodes are great, there are some really talented young people out there. I hope you all have fun with it.

I love the show chopped! What a great idea to do with the kids!! So who won? I guess with 5 kids its hard to feed them meat all the time, that would kill your bank account LOL
Great menu, I totally think you got this!
Good morning DD2 and Crew! Today I am starting CAMAW and I'm bound and determined to get my **** together. Most of you know I've been a little out of control lately, so I'm starting today, this very minute. I'm back on track. I have an appointment with a new therapist next week who specializes in eating disorders, and I'm hoping that with a carb reset this week, and starting new therapy that I can get myself under control. I feel like my head is all over the place and I don't like to feel this way.
I went to a peer support group on Saturday. Outside of the one OA meeting I went to last year, this is the first group support I've been to (outside of the OH Conference and meeting some awesome people from OH for lunch as well). There were 4 of us, and it's a peer led group put together by a girl who lives not far from me. I was the only one who had RNY, but as you know, that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I like these ladies, and we're going to try to do it every month. Hopefully we can get more people involved.
DD2QOTD: Well, my hubby said he's going to try to stick as close to CAMAW as he can, but hasn't promised to go full on carb free. He had his group seminar for surgery last week, and he's just starting the process. I think that he's in a bit of a carb binge panic because he knows that he's going to have surgery, so he's been really, really bad. He had cereal for dinner last night, lol.
17.5 months since surgery
B: Egg cup with turkey sausage, onions and mozzarella cheese. Coffee with sugar free coffeemate. For the purposes of CAMAW, I consider onions like this a condiment since they are used to just add flavor to a dish, and not as a large portion of the meal.
L: 1oz roast beef rolled with cream cheese, 1oz of polish ham rolled with cream cheese and a boiled egg.
D: baked pork chop
S: Crab delights chunk crab. Greek yogurt and a boiled egg.
Totals:
Calories 974 Protein 98 Carbs 35 Fat 48
My carbs are kinda higher because of the dairy and the crab delights have carbs. This is a lot of food, and I'm hoping that I can stick to it. Here are pics of my lunch bag today as well as meal prepping last night:
I love egg muffins...I like to make mine with turkey breakfast sausage and cheddar, occasionally some spinach. They are the only kind of egg that reheats and doesn't get rubbery...mini quiches...
You have this Deanna...If you need to eat...eat more meat....
