That bacon pic makes my stomach hurt. Haven't been able to eat bacon since Surgery. Ugh. I'm at a point I don't even miss it-- just a fact of life now.

Glad you seemed  to have turned a corner with your shoulder.

how can you not love a plate of bacon!  awesome Cyn!!

I am glad you are finally getting some relief from the damn shoulder pain. Sometimes rest is truly what is needed and I am a huge follower of heat on injuries versus ice, I always use heat!

Ok, CAMAW here.  No pics today.

had a protein shake for breakfast...planning the same foe lunch and snacks.  Will definitely eat some healthy protein for dinner, even if I have to settle for deli turkey.

35 minutes on the treadmill this morning, Pilates tonight. (Day off from work today)

had a great weekend with my sisters (3 of them), celebrating a sister's 60th birthday. Woodstock- first trip there.    Over indulged, felt like crap when I went to sleep Saturday night.  Looking forward to this 'detox.'

ETA:  we had an AWESOME time!!!  We laugh, laugh, laugh when we are together!! Wouldn't trade the time we had.

QOTD:  Took me a while to figure out what "qotd" stood for, but I got it! ?  My husband would benefit greatly from lower carbs.... I don't cook separate meals; just don't eat the same sides he does.

i have put on 65# since my lowest weight.  Some days I am overwhelmed by feelings of failure. But...I am not giving up. Do need to change my tracker.... and my attitude... here's to getting back to the healthy lifestyle and joy I felt at a lower weight!!!

Not sure how long you've been posting, but you may find this menu board really helpful.  I know I do.  Even if I don't end up sticking to whatever I posted 100% of the time (I mostly do - but not always), posting my plans every morning really helps.  It gets me in the right mindset or something.   Also, I feel it helps with accountability since I post here almost every day.  People are going to know if and when I start going off the rails...

Glad you are here... focus and consistency is the key...none of us will always be 100% perfect.... but we can't put our heads in the sand either... you still have a tool and you can do this. Stick around!

Good morning all!

Scattered morning here, trying to do 10 things at once.  Having family in town means our schedules are kind of off.  Kiddo is off school today and he's heading to the Children's museum with grandma and grandpa soon.   I'm going to be making a batch of yogurt and planning out my menu this week for CAMAW...as well as relaxing and reading and puttering around the house.  I spoke with my mother this morning and she seems better than the last time I talked to her.  She sounded seriously rough on Saturday, which I can understand....she's very worried about my sister, as we all are, but this is her baby.

QOTD:  My hubby and kiddo rarely eat the same things that I do so it's not likely they will participate in CAMAW with me.  That being said, Pat is super supportive of this WLS venture period...keeping things out of the house that I'm tempted with...like girl scout cookies!

MENU:

I like the idea of posting today's menu tomorrow for precision's sake, and because I have to upload the pics with my computer and right now I'm typing from my ipad.  I've got some good stuff planned for this week (I think) so hopefully I have no trouble sticking with it :). Now I'm off to finish writing up my menu plans for the week and get to work prepping some of it!

Have an awesome day all!

Kelsey
