Great looking menu and congrats on 8.8 down this past month, you are doing awesome!

Good morning.  It hurt to toss out some great looking veggies that I didn't get to this weekend.  Oh well.

My wife eat what I'm eating - Bah, ha, ha, ha, ha.  Here's my wife's typical menu.  Cup of fruit (usually pineapple or banana), coffee....nothing....nothing.....nothing.....nothing - oh, I forgot to eat today.  Then 4 ounces of some protein, half a slab of corn bread with butter on it, later 12 cookies late at night.  Step on the scale next morning.  "Why am I up .5 pounds today - I hardly ate anything yesterday.  Rinse and repeat.  I used to explain that you need to eat better and more consistently.  Now I just make my own stuff and shut the heck up.  She's been between 160 and 178 for the last 25 years (5'6'').  This happened yesterday and it happened 15 years ago - same conversation.

Today

B Greek Light and Fit yogurt with flax; decaf Americano

S Turkey Jerky (half portion eaten from bag on Friday and rest today)

L Left over ham and cheese omelette from Sunday brunch

S Banana cream Premier protein shake

D Trader Joe's canned salmon, 2% cottage cheese, sprinkle of low fat mozz cheese and some mustard made into Salmon Salad (probably will make a double portion to have some for lunch tomorrow)

 

P.S.  I finally made it down to the treadmill last night.  First time I've been on it in 3 years.  First time in the basement in a long time.  I was shocked to find that my wife had stored a bunch of stuff next to our ejection pump system.  Even thought I've told her not to and something fell into the pumbling.  An entire section of venting pvc was torn out and missing.  Gone.  Just gone.  Thankfully we don't use that toilet much, but now I have to deal with the vent as its open on the top and that means sewer gases can back up into the house.  Great.  I guess I need to get down there more often now.

LOL on the conversations with your wife... my husband does the same thing... I was home the other day because of the weather (he works from home)... he came downstairs into the kitchen and ate, many, many times throughout the day... handful of nuts, handful of chips, bowl of cottage cheese, pepperoni... then he gets frustrated because the scale won't move. Eat a MEAL dude... quit grazing... but what do I know, right?

I keep my mouth shut... I already irritate him enough!

Alan your wife story cracked me up!  That is something I hear all the time from one Aunt I have who is SMO. She eats ceasar salads all the time and swears that's "all she eats."  She eats a ton of frozen yogurt and says "but its yogurt, its healthy." Oh boy!!

Great menu my friend!!  I love your idea of the salmon salad!

I am over the moon happy for you for getting down to your treadmill, how awesome is that!  What an wonderful NSV (Non Surgery Victory)!!!  I am bummed on the pvc torn out and missing, that sucks but now you can get on your treadmill and fix your plumping!  Moving is so much easier now right!  

I am super proud of you Alan, you are doing so well, keep up the great work, looking forward to your menus & pics if you can this week!

L: Not sure. I'm going to my parents' house because we're off for MLK day, but Mom promised that she would have meat without any pasta or rice, etc. mixed in! 

S: Cheese

D: Pork Chop

S: Greek Yogurt

Total: Calories - 700, Protein - 82

I'm estimating my totals, but it should be close to that with the meat for lunch!

I had an ok weekend. We didn't end up going on our date to the Houston Symphony. The Texans were having a playoff game Saturday that I completely forgot about and I am not that mean that I would make my husband miss it. I pick and choose my battles lol. I ended up giving the tickets to my Sister in law to take my niece who's in Orchestra at school. She was beyond excited and they ended up having such a wonderful time. That makes me happier than actually going myself

QOTD: Since this is my first CAMAW I really didn't try to get the family involved. I pretty much just eat meat all the time anyway. Anything my husband or I cook I just go for the protein. 

I brought bags of meat so I may not eat it in any specific order or time. 

B - 3 strips of bacon, coffee with creamer & miralax 

L - baked chicken thigh (not pictured but need to eat up before it goes bad)

S - rotisserie chicken breast

D - pork loin

Great menu! I Love your bag of bacon!!  I think we all need "BOBs" Bags of Bacon! LOL
