New RNY
I just recently received an RNY. So far so good. I was released on day two and been home for 3 days. I did have one dumping syndrome. Worst feeling ever. Other than that things seem pretty easy almost too easy. I have weird thoughts like maybe the surgeon did the wrong surgery, maybe I'm eating to much, did he give me enough pain medication and I taking to much etc.. Mostly psychologically. I was 258 lbs when I went in last I checked I was 252 probably a little less now. Oh the gas pains are the worst I wish someone would have stressed that a. It more.

Hello and Welcome! Looking forward to getting to know you! Things will settle into a routine before long.
I licked yellow mustard from a spoon for the gas. Someone suggested it, and I thought it helped. I don't think there's scientific evidence for it of course! Put about 1 quart-sized circle on the back of a spoon. Lick it off little by little. Honest, I think it helped me.
Welcome! I am four months out, and my experience was similar to yours. If not for the incisions, I wouldn't have even thought they did anything. But everything is still pretty numb at your stage. That's why it's important to only eat or drink the amounts laid out in your plan. You can't feel if you are over doing it yet.
Gas pain is a doozy! Walking really does help, by getting things moving around a bit. Walk as much as you can. I tried to get two outdoor walks a day, plus I walked around the house between tv shows or movies while recovering on the sofa!
keep posting and reading on here, you will find tons of information!

Welcome Naomi. Most of us have very few issues and I too wondered if my surgeon really did the surgery or not but since I lost over 150 pounds and have kept it off-- I think he did. Follow your doctor's instructions, walk plenty, measure your food and keep sipping and you will do great. And keep coming here too for amazing support.
