Getting a cold accellerating weight loss?

For the last week I've had a cold. During this time, my daily weight loss has increased. Instead of about 1/2 a pound a day I've been losing a pound to pound and a half a day. I've been eating normally. Has anyone else experience this?

I'm coming down with a cold as well. I didn't weigh myself today. Maybe tomorrow. Just runny nose and I feel real cold. Before RNY I was always cold.

No (sigh) i'm at a stand still right now. Maybe your not consuming as many calories or your drinking extra water?

I haven't had a cold since I had surgery three years ago -- but now I am wishing I could catch one!!

In the middle of my weight loss, I got a bad cold or flu. I lost nothing the week before, 11 pounds the week I was sick, and nothing the week after. Those were the only two weeks I had zero loss. But overthe three weeks, the 11 pounds were exactly what I would have lost without the bug. And that 11 pounds was by far the most I had lost in one week, by about double.

It all averages out.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
