What's on your Saturday menu, RNYers?
Thanks! I just could not figure out any likely options.

Good morning everyone. It has been challenging the past few days to get all my fluids and protein in. Since surgery I have been struggling with some constipation until a week ago when I suddenly developed the complete opposite problem. So for a week now it has been relentless, like waking up several times a night and afraid to be out of sight of a bathroom all day. When I spoke to the nurse at the clinic she basically said "strange stuff will happen for awhile". I very helpful line that seems to be their standard response when they've got no helpful input. I know dehydration is a potential issue so I've been getting at least the 64oz in but not too much more. Only up once last night so hopefully it's starting to ease up.
QOTD I have always had very vivid dreams, not every night but quite frequently I remember them. There have been a lot of recurring themes; flying, snakes (yuck), and one where my old highschool doesn't have stairs but rope ladders to get from floor to floor (I basically just get caught up in the ropes and never get where I'm going) and I can never find the right classroom or locker. I've also had those dreams where someone you know upsets you or makes you mad or some emotion and then I wake up holding onto some of that whatever the emotion was towards the person in real life.
B - coffee (no creamer as I prep for AMAW, which may not include coffee cause... creamer)
L - lemon pepper tuna
D - chicken thigh no skin with calorie free honey dijon
S - turkey bites, protein drink
Have a great weekend everyone!

Yes, indeed ;). Strange stuff will happen for a while. I sometimes go through a spell where I will wake up at 6, then next day 5, then maybe 3 am... but I almost always have a weight loss following. Four months out for me.
*Finally* heading off to Iowa today! My cousin who's there from DC (the sister of the one who's sick) kept telling me things are OK for now - maybe I could come later in the week, but I think she was just afraid it was a huge imposition on me to come, even though I think she'd really like the company....but she's afraid to say so because she thinks it's too long a trip for me. I talked to the third sister who lives in Florida last night, and she said go - Chris definitely needs someone there - she's stressed out and definitely does need the company. So I texted Chris last night and told her to think about this - she doesn't have much to do other than just hanging out at the hospital all day. I'm off work for a long weekend and bored. DH has to work all weekend, so I'm home by myself. We live 1000 miles apart and haven't seen each other in years. She's now three hours away. Three hours! That's nothing! Plus the weather is good this weekend. And I"m ready to jump in the car any time! So she caved. Actually, she sounded relieved. So off I go.. The sick cousin was brought out of her coma last night - a couple of days early. They're doing neurological tests this morning, so she wasn't allowed any pain killers or sedatives because they'll interfere with the tests. So she evidently was writhing in pain all night, cussing out the nurses, etc. Good thing Chris wasn't there to see that. By the time Chris gets there later on this morning, the tests will be done and she'll be back on something for the pain. But so far, things are looking good. We'll know more after the tests, though.
QOTD: I rarely remember dreams, but I need to start remembering because part of the Well-Being research study I'll be involved with the next few months involves logging dreams. I remember from my first master's program (in Counseling Psych) that we had to log dreams for one class, and once you start doing it, it gets much easier to remember them.
19 months out:
b: homemade plain Greek yogurt with 2 T homemade cranberry sauce
S: double SF protein mocha Miralax latte
not sure about lunch and dinner, since I'll be in Iowa, but it'll be bariatric-friendly. But I brought a few Quest bars and a couple of those 1 oz (?) bags of mixed nuts for emergencies... will also pick up some yogurt and cheese sticks once I'm there
I am posting late...have been basically drugging myself to sleep everynight because of pain. If lasts exactly 5 hours and then I wake up from pain and have to take something else. But woke up this morning with a burst of energy and determination...as the pain is the least in the AM after rest. Hoping maybe too I've turned a corner.
Haven't really exercised regularly since the car accident and I MISS IT! (Who is this person?) So got up and first thing did pilates routine, modified where needed and didn't use left arm...but felt good to do, then vacuumed and emptied my dishwasher... Sounds mundane but when things are out of order around you, doesn't make you feel better.
QOTD: I am like you in terms of dreams, I won't remember any for a long time, and thne I'll have a series of vivid dreams that I'll wake up and remember...
Get that popcorn in before AMAW week!
I've been living on lattes- somehow that has been my crutch during this pain... so I get the drinking something good all day...
B: Coffee w/fairlife and mirealax, "Orange Julius" protein drink with Syntrax fuzzy navel
L: Grilled cheese (maybe?) butternut squash soup with added protein powder
D: Steak and veggie stir fry
snacks: PB on celery, Chocolate chai latte, babybel
ex: pilates
