I understand your frustration. I had no sensations in my pouch until about week 15 post-op, however, I am eating meat. I did find that drinking a warm liquid at times throughout the day helped those hunger feelings, as well as keeping busy. Much luck to you!!

You will find out that your medical team likely will 'allow' things that may not be in your best interest to eat them if you want to get your excell weight off as fast as possible. Mine had cream of wheat and crap like that on my list. If I had listened to them and continually ate the carbs they were allowing, I'm sure I would NOT made my weight goal much less be under that.

I would be as strict as you can with yourself until you reach goal then if you want to add back in some 'less ideal' food go for it.

I read your topic sentence and started laughing out loud. You will NEVER feel full the way you used to, ever again.

There are new signals to indicate you are full, nose running, a weird hiccup feeling I get tells me to stop. but weighing your food will be very important going forward.

Also you will really want to limit your carbs like fruit and beans once you are out of puree stage. i did eat refried beans but stayed far far away from baby food and fruit. carbs make you crave more carbs...

are you also on an acid reducer?

I haven't really experience hunger or fullness since my surgery.  I'm almost 3 months out.  My doctor didn't want me to have Premier the first 2 months because it's not 100% Whey protein.  Try Unjury.  Count your protein.  It is what makes you feel satisfied.  ALL meals should be mostly protein.  Try to get that 80+.  Talk to your doctor!

Without dense protein, I think you might not feel sated until you are on full solids. I know someone asked about ant acids. The reason is reflux often feels like hunger. Might be good to bring it up at your next appointment, they might suggest a different one, and see if it makes a difference.

When you hear people saying they are full after 2-3 bites, it's because it is dense protein. Once you are further along, you'll be able to have harder cheeses, tofu, tempeh and tvp. It's possible to be successful at wls on a vegetarian diet, but requires diligence as the protein to calorie ratio will be a lot higher. But definitely possible.

good luc****ep posting, it really helps. I use it as a distraction when head hunger hits.

Hi there, when you had your surgery all the nerves were cut so you won't have any feeling. That's why it's so important to weigh everything. Also you don't want to be chasing the full feeling. I understand that you don't eat eggs or meat what about fish or seafood. Goodluck.
