if there will be no dense protein, there will be no feeling of fullness.

The things you are eating are slider foods, so I guess you should prepare to be hungry.

Its head hunger. I am 5 months out and I am finally "not hungry". You won't feel full until you start eating dense food like meat.

You sure you are drinking enough?  Whenever I'm hungry I do a mental water inventory on what I've consumed for the day.  Most times I'm just thirsty.

I'm just over three weeks our too.  Do I feel stuffed? No.  Do I feel hungry? No.  Do I want to eat anyway?  100% Yes, but I don't.  I find that most of the time, especially while at work (desk job) I think I'm hungry but its just the flavor in my mouth.  I've gotten some sugar free mints and those are saving my life.  I also have my meals scheduled and I fallow my schedule to a T.  If "I think" I am hungry between my meals I ask myself if its my stomach asking for food or my head and every single time its been my head.

When I saw my surgeon the other day he said I can try and experiment with some dense protein which I have done.  When I've done so I get more of the satisfied or full feeling but not like before.

Did you let your surgeon and dietitian know before surgery that you don't eat meat, fish or eggs?

Dense proteins are the foods that fill us up and keep us from being hungry.

It is going to be much more difficult for you.  It will be difficult but no impossible.  There is a famous weight loss surgeon who has his patients on vegan diets.

Dr. Garth Davis has a Facebook page Dr Garth Davis

He talks about vegan lifestyle and posts a lot of recipes and meal ideas.  I hope you look at the page and find some ideas to help you.

I'm going to say it sounds to me like head hunger. I'm currently about the same time frame out and couldn't imagine eating all that food in one day... I know everyone's different, but I'm getting about 500 calories and 85g of protein a day, very little carbs. Beans, lentils and chickpeas aren't on my meal plan until next week (4 weeks out, soft food) but there's a lot of carbs there... Which may lead to cravings.

Wishing you full soon!

theyre in my meal plan and very encouraged by my medical team. when looking at the grand scheme of things, i am only eating 1/3 cup of purreed beans... which in fact has very little carbs. while i agree it could be head hunger i was just curious to see what others were feeling around this time frame as well as any tricks to curb it

thanks everyone for you input!
