Good Morning all. I have never had anyone ask me "how" much weight I have lost thank goodness. But then again very few people know I had the surgery. Between moving and new job over the years since many people in my life don't know the "before" me and I am very glad about that! I still find it such an embarrassment sad to say. I don't know how to really get over that. I still have many issue's with wanting to keep my whole surgery life private. Such as I don't post photo's on this site or give too many private details. I know personally one person on this site (don't know her screen name) and I know of at least 2 others who do not or have not had surgery or will, but come here to look for idea's and tips that I don't want to know who I am. This sounds crazy and I know it!! I love coming here and sharing because everyone here is so supportive I just don't want to risk the ones I know personally finding out this is me and then I would not feel comfortable sharing at all.

Thanks Brandi for your honesty. A lot of us are open here, have become friends here and in real life, but I really appreciate you telling us how you feel and that you prefer to remain private and "picture-less" and I respect that.
This journey is very individual and how each of us handles family/friends/co workers is our own private thing. I am more like you and on the private side when it comes to my weight and discussing it with co workers I don't like or nosy friends. You all here on OH "get me and get the journey" I find it easy to open up here and this is my "safe" place to discuss anything related to WLS, but I totally get where you are coming from and just wanted to say thanks for the post.
Have a great weekend.
