CURIOUS: How far Post-Op are you AND approximately how much food can you eat at each...
I was the same as you at 5 weeks.
at 4 months post, I range between 1/2 and 3/4 cup, depending on the type of protein. There's definitely days I could eat more, but I never go over my pre portioned amount.
I weigh my protein, then put it in a 3/4 measuring cup, and then add a bit of veg. Occasionally, a spoonful or two of beans or lentils.

I am cleared up to a cup of food at a meal at four months post op. Was at 1/4 cup at your stage. You don't have any feeling in your pouch yet, so it is important to eat what your portion is and then stop... i only recently have any feeling of full. And if I am not eating protein, I rarely get a full feeling...
I am about 3 1/2 months out and I'm eating about 2 1/2oz to 3oz and if I can maybe 1/4 or a tiny bit more veggies. I don't get full either but if I eat as much as a fork full to much my pouch is killing me!!! Sooooooo listen to your body, very important!
Good luck with everything!

I'll be three weeks in on January 24th! I eat 4-5 ounces of food twice a day (lunch & dinner). Breakfast is a little less (usually one egg with 2 pieces of Canadian Bacon or half a slice of cheese in my egg. I also eat a snack or two (typically a 1/4 cup of mixed nuts or a low fat babybel or similar and one Premier shake. If I get that eat late need (I'm pretty much over it now) I'll have a sugar free jello.
6 weeks out Jan 16) and eating about the same as you. I feel full at about 1/4 cup of food per meal and don't dare pu**** I do 2 small snacks (i.e. cheese stick, 1 oz unsweetened applesauce, etc) and still trying to push the liquids in. If eating creamy soups, I can do 1/2 cup easy if it doesn't have anything in it.
I'm about 4-1/2 years out. How much I eat depends on how dense and dry the food is. If it's chicken, I can eat maybe 4 to 5 ounces. But I can eat 8 ounces of ribeye, but probably a third of that is fat -- liquid. At a restaurant, I can eat a whole cheeseburger. They call it an 8 ounce burger, but it's usually about 5 ounces cooked. If it's a small burger and a small bun, I can often eat both. If it's a giant bun, I usually eat just the bottom half. Or, I'll get rid of the bun altogether, and have a half dozen fries instead.

7.5 months out. I can eat almost a cup of silder foods (yogurt, chili, etc.), Dense protein really varies - last night we had pork chops and I could barely get in 2 oz. Some other proteins I can eat 4 oz. It also depends on the day.
