What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good morning menu friends! It is warming up with a light rain here today. The highways are horrible with wrecks.
QOTD- yes my mama and daddy push food on me horrible. My husband, children, Mama and daddy are the only ones that know about my surgery. So I am thankful for that.
Time since surgery 10 months 155 this morning. I'm having a horrible time going to the bathroom. Miralax will hopefully be in full effect today.
B- One boiled egg with 1 tsp mayo
L- 2 oz grilled chicken
D- 2oz Chili no beans with 1 tsp sour cream
S- Nuts
I hope everyone has a great day!

Holy wowzers DG you are 10 pounds from your "goal" weight in 10 months. I am always so impressed with your weight loss and your menu and your dedication to this WLS lifestyle. Great job!
The thing with Miralax as you know from so many people that use it, you have to use it on a consistent basis. You can't go a week using it then stop for a month and then start using it again. Each time you start it back up it takes 4-5 days to start to work, then you have to use it daily, have to. And if you are not comfortable with daily then every other day but it has to be consistent. Yesterday two Vets said they use Magnesium pills, 500mg in the morning, 500mg in the evening. You can try that if you don't want to use Miralax but that will also need time to work. You know I am PRO Miralax so that is what I am going to tell you to use, but you have to give it a few days to work and then stay on it.
Best of luck, not going really sucks!
Keep up the AWESOME WORK!!!
That's the crazy thing. I haven't stopped the Miralax. I take it daily. I am just backed up for some reason. I have started a new vitamin and I'm not sure if that has contributed or not. I am going to add the magnesium and see if that helps.

QOTD: my only food pusher is my stepmother, but she lives in North Carolina and I live in Wisconsin, so I rarely see her. I stayed at her house for two weeks in October, though - much as I like her, the food pushing got pretty annoying...
19 months out
B: homemade vanilla Greek yogurt and 8 raspberries
S: coffee with half & half, double protein shake
L: leftover brunch from Sunday (finally gone!): scrambled egg with chorizo, pinto beans, salsa
D: probably leftover cassoulet
probably another Greek yogurt later on
exercise: strength-training class

Hi all, QOTD: There are so few people IRL who know, and many of the people closest to me (mom and boyfriend) had WLS, too! Not that that stops both of them from being pushers sometimes (yes, you!), but I can push back if I need to because they both get it.
Today is the first day in ages that I don't have food with me except for 2 Chomps meat sticks that I carry in my purse for emergency protein. I have back to back to back to back meetings today, too, so I'm not sure what's going to happen. The closest place to run to if I get a break is Jimmy John's so if I can, I will get a sammie, and eat the meaty insides :)
I'm up for before/after on Fri! I might recycle an old one, but I love seeing these. So inspirational!

Daisy I literally LOL'd at the Coffee pusher.... Yes I need coffee or tea pushers I'll take both!
QOTD: For Christmas my brother from Massachusetts sent me a box of 3 or 4 dozen large individually wrapped gourmet cookies. Really? Even if I wasn't recovering from Morbid Obesity... I live alone. I realize the 'share with others' mentality but still... I gave what I thought was all of them to my son's friend and family that came Christmas Day for dinner...and discovered there was another dozen in the freezer...I threw them out Monday. They might be safe for awhile and then one day, I'd be weak and boom... I'd eat one or more.
I think at this point in maintenance, I am my own worse enemy... The mental battle- Aren't I 'normal' yet?....I don't severely dump, just more get the nauseous, icky feeling if I have too much sugar... I am reminded I am not cured, when I say I'll just take one or two bites, then fight mentally not to eat the whole thing, sometimes I win the mental battle, and other times I know I will feel like crap after and do it anyway... I don't keep it in the house, so we are talking the 'out' or 'special occasion' syndrome. Even with non sugar carbs... Like if I allowed myself to have french fries... how can I eat just maybe 8 or 10 of them, when there is a pile of like 40.... It really all starts in our brains.... That is why I weigh daily...My brain needs a dose of reality daily....
B: Think this is a 2 Latte morning... with fairlife milk and miralx in one.
B2: Eggs with melted cheese
L: tuna on flatout wrap
D: steak, spinach
Snacks: chicken, nuts, chocolate chai latte
Waiting around house for heating repairman today... I will get an official time frame after 9am. Need to go to PT, my Left shoulder has been hurting worse from the car accident, and they are already sending me to see an evaluation Doc....
