Good morning! I'm sleepy! I didn't sleep very well last night. No reason, just one of those nights I guess. Its gloomy and damp here. I actually had to kick on the A/C yesterday because it was around 78 degrees in the house. I feel bad so many of you are going through horrible freezing cold nasty & dangerous weather. I forgot to bring in my plants when we had the freeze last weekend and I think I pretty much lost all of them.
QOTD: Food pushers! Why why why do people feel the need to shove food down our throats! People at my work don't know I had WLS but know that I've been working hard to lose weight so why am I the first person they run to tell when there is cake in the break room! AND they know that I don't like cake either! Is it because they will feel better about eating it if I do? I get tired of people asking me advise on healthy eating and then they keep showing up with McDonalds breakfast. And then ask if I want some! NO! But I politely say no thank you, I'm being good. My cousin's best friend had WLS and would push food on her. At restaurants her WLS friend would order dessert, take one bite and then push the rest to her and insist on her eating it. She would politely refuse but over time it happened so much that she got tired of it and things got ugly. I don't think they talk anymore hahaha.

Weight- down another pound this week, but I really need to quit weighing daily I know better!
Weighing is such a tricky one! I have to weigh every morning, at the same juncture in my waking up process or else I feel like I'm off track... other's only weigh once a week/month... other's weigh multiple times a day...
It's so strange how that little scale holds so much power over us!

pammieanne, I completely agree! What worked for me in my early post op day was weighing daily. Now, being almost 16 years out, it isn't such a good idea and I know this. I do weigh at the same time, daily. However, I really want to get away from that. I am too focused on the numbers on the scale, when I know I should just focus on getting back on track. It will come, I think I will be fine once I start to SEE the results. Also, since I am exercising a lot I am anxious to see the scale move, so that drives me to weigh daily.
