What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Morning Menu peeps
This morning was another balmy day, starting at 55, and the predicted high is 77! However.... all that rain that California is getting is moving our way, and apparently it's going to meet up with a cold front, and our weathermen are walking around with... Gawd, I really want to say hard-ons... getting ready for this impending ICE STORM we're supposed to have... We'll see. I REALLLLLY hope it's not so though, because my son's bday party (cici's pizza and roller skating) will be cancelled.... his bday is on Saturday, and this year we're actually doing something ON his bday.
QOTD: No real food pushers... I work with a bunch of younger healthier 30-somethings... we do have occasional food 'dropped off' in our kitchen from time to time, but the woman that used to do all of this homemade baking stuff got laid off, so that temptation is much better. Most of my friends are very cognizant of my WLS and my needs, so no food pushers there either. I have some that have used that "Can you eat any of this?" line on me, and it really hits a nerve with me... don't police my plate! My plate is MINE... Yes, I can eat anything I damn well please... I'm choosing NOT to... or I am choosing TO... but qui****ching me eat already!
So my good friend had VSG about 3 months ago... her wife (my spouses ex) is very OCD and has been VERY involved in S's surgery journey... SHE will corner me, drill me on what her wife is eating, and has even made comments to her wife like this: "Look, Pamela puts her fork down between each bite! That's what the doctor wants you to do"... it's makes me SO uncomfortable! Let her Do Her... and I'll do me... and You do You!
I'm so ready for a before and after... I'm not done yet, but I do need to see pictures side by side, so I'm all in on Friday!
B: egg muffin
L: Don't know, taking boy child to the doctor at 10:50, so I will probably stop by subway for him, and I'll just eat the insides if I order something
D: Chicken something... still haven't cooked that chicken (last night made a terrible turkey salad, which was very healthy, and I ate it... but didn't enjoy it
S: beef jerky? I brought an ounce for the doc office decaf coffee, lots of it!
Vitamin patches on. Weight this morning 159.0.
Exercise: Hopefully if I can get through the doctor's office, I'll be at the gym at noon for a 'legs' class.

Good Morning! Today will be a busy one for me-it's one of our busier days of the year for us which means black-out for PTO but since it was one of employees birthdays she asked for the day off and I got the approval to give it to her..well guess what someone else calls in sick so now down another person. We got a ton of rain last night-it was raining so hard it woke me up. Sorry to hear about all the icy mess some of you are dealing with. Be safe.
QOTD: Nope, no food pushers. I mean there is always food and treats around and people will offer but when I decline they don't push. I might throat punch your boss-that's horrible! All sorts of YES to needing a coffee pusher though.

Good morning everyone!!! this is my first menu post
Time since surgery: 3 weeks today & down 21 lbs.
QOTD: Since I'm fairly new I don't get a lot of food pushers but I do get a lot of people asking me if I can eat this or that as they are stuffing their faces in front of me with cookies and chips. My answer so far to every single one of them has been YES, I can eat it but I chose not to. Those things are what got me to my highest weight ever and I am changing the way I eat.
B: decaf coffee with 50% less fat coffee mate. 3 mini omelets made with egg whites only
L: 3 ounces of chilli
S: 1 Premier Protein

That's the exact answer I give people when they ask me that question! I think it's the perfect answer.

Me too. I haven't had many people openly try to police my eating. More like they have the impression that my diet is too restrictive, and assume I feel deprived. I really don't. You know how many protein veg combos there are in the world? A lot.
