What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
Good Morning Daisy and Menu family!
Sorry to hear Amy's shoulder is still sore, Daisy. I hope it gets better really soon.
QOTD: I live in a great little subdivision that is just 1 mile outside of town. Far enough to feel like it's out in the country but near enough to be close to town. The neighbors are all really nice. The neighbors directly across from me are AWESOME. Rick is my personal "handy man". He mows my lawn in the summer with his riding lawn mower. (I pay him). He has done everything for me from chopping up a tree into firewood that lightning struck down to fixing my toilet to painting my tool shed to hauling things to the dump. Saralisa had a patio swing that she swung on all the time. The swing part wore out on it and Rick made wooden slat seats for it for her for Christmas last year and wouldn't even accept any money from me! He is such a blessing!
B: Crepe with peaches & cream cheese
L: Lettuce, spinach, 2 h.b. eggs, bacon, cheese, low cal dressing
D: Taco meat with cheese, sour cream & 1/2 flour tortilla

Have a fantastic day everyone and try to stay warm!

wow your neighbour Rick is awesome! What a gem to have around! And thanks for the well wishes about Amy, I have to figure something out its really bothering me...
Good morning menu crew!
I had a rough day yesterday that ended with cookies - my younger sister was given a cancer diagnosis and I admit I lost my sh*t for a bit....luckily we're a) out of cookies and b) I combated eating those cookies with getting on the elliptical for 30 minutes. It was just really unexpected and threw me for a loop, I'm the oldest of all my siblings and grew up with two of my sisters, we're all really close and this is the younger of the two. When we were kids I would protect her from bullying...except I can't fight this particular bully
Other than my cookiepalooza I did well yesterday with the rest of my menu and tracking on the baritastic app, even cooked a chicken in my instant pot using a new recipe that is now a keeper. School is out for another day today while the south recovers from the ice on the roads so we are hanging out at home while I work on business taxes and other household stuff. I'm trying to keep busy so I don't fret....which is hard because I am a natural born worrywart.
QOTD: I jus****ched that movie again a couple weeks ago Daisy, that would be Demolition Man! We just moved to our subdivision a little over a year a go, we have neighbors and we're cordial with them but we don't really know them all that well. Our last house we loved our neighbors, and we miss having them....they were just great. Here everyone has either lived here for 10+ years or is brand new so there's not a lot of cohesiveness. I have no problem with one set of neighbors, the other ones are quite nice but drive me a bit nuts because there's always junk against the side of the house, or behind their house (broken stuff, floor jacks, old basketball hoop). We have a similar parking policy in our neighborhood and a lot of people ignore it, there's a broken-down work van that's been parked on the street for MONTHS now, complete with busted out window. I would imagine the HOA is citing them but they're ignoring it.
Menu:
B: Greek Yogurt with Protein Granola, Coffee
S: TBD
L: Pinto Beans with Cheese
S: TBD
D: Leftover Chicken - maybe I'll make chicken salad...we'll see
E: More Elliptical or a walk...haven't decided yet, depends on the kiddo!
Have a good day guys!
