Ouch, Grim!

I have had a rental property right beside me for years now too. About 5 years ago "students" moved in which made sense because I'm close to a University. There were a lot of loud noises at annoying times but we chalked it up to them being students. They never cut the grass and had a couple dogs that they didn't clean up after and at the time it was just a chain link fence between our back yards so we were forced to constantly look at it. About a year later we noticed a raccoon family exiting the chimney.... turns out only the dogs lived there, the "students" were running a grow op out of the house and we were completely oblivious. The banging and noise at odd hours was them gutting the house, save for one toilet and sink, to maximize growing space.

I'm sorry, I know that sucked for you, but I can't help but find myself over here laughing! 

I guess they were trying to fund their college tuition fees????

They weren't even students!! That was just their cover story and we fell for it hard. Lol. It made a lot of sense actually, it was a good story and never made us suspicious of the odd hours or noises. They were really smart about it, talked to all the neighbours just enough to make us buy the story but none of it was true. I look back and laugh at it too. I can't believe that was all happening 30 ft away and I was more concerned about the well being of the dogs than anything else. 

The dogs... how sad that they lived there all alone (and I'm assuming outside)... hope they got rescued and are now spoiled babies sleeping on someone's couch!

I have to like this post because of Baseball. Official sport of my family.

Although Sunday was pretty funny having my son and Wisconsin DIL here when the Packers killed the Giants.
