OK- So starting off by admitting that yesterday was a total failure eating. Oreo's, M&M's and general grazing were high on the agenda. Despite it being a bad day- its nothing near where my eating used to be on a typical day. And I was 'smart' enough to but a small pack of Oreo's instead of the entire 3 row package. Funny though as I was eating them I was thinking- these don't taste as good as I remembered. {yet I still ate them...ugg} Well yesterday is done- moving on...

QOTD: My neighbors are ok- we only talk in passing (how I like it). We have garages, but they aren't easily accessible, so everyone parks on the street- first come first serve. We've had to talk to the people to the right of us a few times about loud music- but they seems to have fallen in line with the 'status quo' of the neighborhood.

Hey, Oreos are the devil's work, no doubt... 

I actually threw away 1/2 of a full sized package I found hidden in a bag on the counter... I ignored them for a few days, but one day I was feeling weak, opened them up, smelled them, mouth watered... and I panicked! I ended up dumping out the package into the garbage and smashing them down into whatever was in there... they gave me a panic attack! Damn Oreos....

Oreos were my go to cookie. I wouldn't trust myself with them. Your right, today is a new day.

Good morning everyone. Getting a bit of snow here but nothing like what they were forecasting, the grass is still poking through. Exercise is going well and the scale has been cooperating the main issue I'm having is bathroom related. I take stool softener daily, every night I drink a tea that is supposed to help get things moving, and I started adding Restoralax to my morning coffee. All that and nothing happens for 4+ days and then I'll wake up one morning and suddenly I can't be away from a bathroom for days. I'm really struggling to find some balance, both situations are frustrating. I had an appointment at the clinic and they want me to add veggies and fruit but right now I really don't think I have the room for much and not enough to make a difference (perhaps I'm wrong about that). Add fiber??

QOTD I live in an older neighbourhood, built in the 50's, and for years we were the youngest ones on the street. I've been here for almost 15 (!!!) years now and there have been quite a few changes over the past couple years. It's a quiet street with primarily retirees, friendly but not too social which suits me just fine.

Totals 424 cal, 64g protein, 9g carbs

Hi there, I'm 7 months out and I have to take Restoralax everyday. It took me quite a few months to get a little more regular. When I first started taking it I would go days with no luck. I started taking Restoralax twice a day a few times a week. Good luck.

Good morning menu gang,

I feel better today from my cold.

It's supposed to rain today and get up to 40 degrees. It will feel like a heatwave compared to the temps we had.

QOTD I lived in my apartment for 8 years, I had good neighbors and bad. Some parents let their kids jump off the couch and hit the floor, this could be after 10 pm. Vacuuming at late hours. Most bizarre was the family causing infestation of ****roaches,  there was ****roaches everywhere in their apartment and spilled to other apartments. I wasn't a happy camper then. Right now I have good neighbors.

Good morning DD2 and my friends.  I am working from home today, that is why I'm so late posting.  We got some snow last night, and while it's not a ton of snow, it came down at the most inopportune time.  The roads were a mess this morning and there were accidents everywhere.  I have the ability to work from home, and this is the first time that I have done that.  I had a bit of technical difficulty and had to call our help desk this morning to resolve some issues while working from home.  So far, so good.  I have both the little one and the puppy with me, so half of me wishes that I had just sucked it up and went in to work, lol.  But honestly, it hasn't been too bad.  I have a puppy sleeping at my feet and a three year old sitting next to me snacking on trail mix while watching the show The Floogals, which is one of the best shows on TV for kids right now.  I've been up since 5 and working since 6, so my day is already half over.  

Food, food, food.  I did relatively well last night.  Not perfect, but not horrible.  I'm going in the right direction.  I didn't weigh this morning, but only because the puppy was crying and I rushed to get him instead of weighing.  I'll weigh tomorrow.

DD2QOTD:  My neighbors are pretty okay.  One set has a dog that they let off leash a lot.  Mostly the dog is very well behaved, she is a herding dog.  I have had two incidences with their dog where she has rushed me or my kid.  She has never made contact, but I told them about the situation and they have been very mindful of when they are out with their dog.  Both times, my neighbor was in the garage and the dog was in the front yard.  So now I see that they are always with her, and when they are with her she is totally intent on them.  I introduced my puppy to the neighbor, and we look forward to introducing the dogs when Bugsy get's big enough.  I think that Bear is pretty good with most dogs, so it would be nice.  We're on waving basis and general chatting with the rest of the neighbors in my court.  I live at the back of the court and there are 7 other houses.  I've chatted with most of them, and everyone seems nice.  They take care of their homes and don't get stupid or loud.  I can't really ask for much more.

 

17 months since surgery

B: Oatfit oatmeal and a banana, coffee with sugar free coffeemate

L: not sure, I'm home so I didn't have to pack a lunch.  I am thinking tuna salad on half a flat out.

D: some sort of chicken dinner.  I have boneless chicken in the fridge that needs to be eaten.  I'm thinking maybe a chicken Parmesan type of dish.  Sounds yummy.  No pasta.

I'm trying to keep the snacking to a minimum, and I ate 4 ounces of cold chicken breast because I was looking in the freezer.  I'll do the same again if I get the urge to eat more before lunch.

I haven't logged it into MFP yet, but I will.  I'm being good, probably because I'm working form home and feel like I have to be so focused.

Good morning. I've spent the morning so far doing a drug test and background check for my new job. Only 11 more days at this one! (Have MLK day and 1/25 off work!)

QOTD: I'm not a fan of our neighbors. (We only have 1 neighbor, we live in the country). Our kids play but that's as far as is it goes. I thought I liked them until I had a car accident a few years ago. I was airlifted, it was on social media, lots of people were nice and checked on me and my girls. The neighbors didn't, although they were my Facebook "FRIENDS". That bothered me. Then my Grannie lived with us for about a year and a half. She died (again, we were Facebook "FRIENDS") and all that goes with that. Nothing. Not a card, an "I'm sorry" or a kiss my ass. So, I defriended them both on FB and make minimal contact now. I'm sorry, but I have a hard time thinking that both kind of major-ish life events,  you cannot even check on someone. I didn't want to be close friends, but I'm nicer than that to mere acquaintances.
