Hi there everyone!

Good morning so far... it was 56 out when I left this morning... I think today until Friday we have 'good' weather... but now the weathermen are getting all excited (and I swear they all get so excited about impending weather around here) about the CHANCE of an ice storm all weekend... Great. I'm not so thrilled. It's my son's 15th birthday, and last year I totally won the Bad mom of the Year because I never could get a bday party put together for him. Poor kid. His birthday comes so soon after Christmas, that I never get it planned far enough in advance... usually I pull it off though, but last year, I threw up my hands in defeat. This year, I'm organized, but the damn weather may not be! Let's all hope for a rainstorm here in Oklahoma on Saturday - no ice!

QOTD... Neighbors... yes. We have a 5 acre plot on a .5 mile dirt road with other 5 acre plots on our side of the road, and then 10 acre plots across the street. The neighbors across the street from us are very nice, and we use 6 acres of their land all summer long for the horses... the neighbors to the north of us (and basically all along the 5 acre side, are all very nice, but we're not close to any of them... but the one neighbor has helped us out several times when we've needed help with something)...

BUT... the ONE freaking neighbor just to the South of us... Ugh. We started out well, but it went spiraling downhill quickly when the dude got a 'hate-on' for our chickens being in his COW BARN... At first, the chickens were welcome there, because they were young and cute, and their kids played with them... but then one day he didn't want them there anymore... we TRIED... put up chicken wire along the 4 wired barb fence, trying to get them to quit going there, but they were on a pattern, and that was part of their pattern - to go eat the BUGS out of his barn! It escalated until one day just after surgery I was outside watering my garden when I saw him launch a hammer at the chickens, and then a HUGE rock... days later, our friendliest chicken disappeared... days after that one came back with a broken wing... I ended up re-homing them. I WILL get new chickens this Spring, but they will have never been in his barn, and that won't be part of their pattern, so hopefully douchebag will leave them alone. He's a tiny little man, who is most likely homophobic (and probably very confused that Riley is now Riley and not Lisa Hahaha), and just an ass. We can hear him screaming at his kids whenever they are all outside. Ugh.

B: egg muffin (yes, I made some! They are good, too!)

L: 2.7 ounces of steak

S: cheese stick

D: No clue... there's still chicken in there as last night I opted to make a ham and cheese roll up

Weight this morning 159.2

Exercise: 30 minute circuit training at lunch (did the abs class yesterday, but the only thing sore is my neck and upper arms from overcompensating for the LACK of said abs! LOL)

I saw him launch a hammer at the chickens, and then a HUGE rock...

It's warm and humid here. It looks like it's going to stay like that for a while. We usually get one last cold blast in the beginning of February and then ease into spring time weather with lots of rain.

QOTD: I like my close neighbors but we live in a small older subdivision and a lot of the houses are being bought up for rent houses and that is bringing a lot of BAD neighbors!! There's one house that has up to 14 cars sometimes. We don't have any kind of HOA but we have a guy that is a self proclaimed "leader" type and sticks his nose where it doesn't belong. It's funny how he will allow people to park in their yards but when my son (14 at the time) bought a boat and had it in the driveway to clean it up we immediately got a letter to remove it. DaisyDoo it's funny how our immediate thought of retaliation against neighbors always includes dog poop hahah!!! I've might have tossed some over the fence a time or two

Supposedly a Trader Joes is moving in the neighborhood!!! This would be a dream come true!!! Fingers crossed!!!

B - Coffee w/miralax & Unjury chicken soup protein

L - Baked chicken thigh, & asparagus

S - PB3 or some cranberry goat cheese I bought.

D - Ate the beef stew last night so probably grilled chicken salad tonight

Good morning everyone! I'm feeling anxious about work as I only have 2 days left including today but when I log out tomorrow night, I will turn all that off- I can only do what I can do. As a wise woman told me- that's all for my bosses to figure out.

QOTD - This is our 4th home since we were married.  We owned the first 2, then fell on hard times and had to sell. Then our housing market exploded so it's unlikely we will ever own a house unless we move far from where we are.  Our first experience as tenants was brutal. I still get that sick anxious feeling in the pit of my stomach when I think about it. We were renting the upper 2 stories of a home and there was an apartment in the basement. We were only in that house for 9 months and there were 3 different tenants in the basement.  There was no sound proofing between our main floor and the basement, and we had 3 kids.  So I'm sure the basement was no picnic.  But the last tenant was the worst! He called the fire department because the smoke detector used to go off really easily; he called the police because he said the handle bars of my 9 year old's bike has scraped the HOOD of his car (that was a rust bucket to begin with0 but regardless- my kids were raised to respect other people's property), he called Children's Aid to say we were abusing our children- we don't even spank our kids- and he called the humane society to say that we were mistreating our pet rabbit. She died last year at the age of 10 and was well loved and cared for. To top it all of, he filed a lawsuit against us to say that we interfered with his quality of life.

Our current home is a townhouse- a little small for 5 people but we're content most of the time.  We are the end unit so we adjoin on one side.  Neighbours are amazing.  Our adjoining neighbour bought us a cake for Christmas with all our names on it (A big birthday cake from Costco with Santa on it) and our neighbours on the other side brought us a great big gift basket full of goodies with a card that thanked us for being such good neighbours. I know tenants don't always make great neighbours, so I'm really glad our neighbours don't feel that way about us.

More optifast today- 2nd last day and holy crap this is feeling real now!! No weight loss today but it's all good.

Have a great day everyone.

I work in insurance, and a liability adjuster recommended we offer him $500 to go away.  We had already moved, and even though we hated the thought of that, that's what we did. The adjuster said that if it went to court, we would both miss time off work. As well, my mother in law had just been diagnosed with leukemia, and as he had made allegations against her, she would have had to appear in court.  He tookd the $500 and dropped the case.

After we moved out, the next tenants started to have problems as well, so the landlord tried to evict him... He knew every trick in the book and it went back to court 3 times. Finally they also offered him $500 to get him to leave.  And he did.  After he moved out, they put soundproofing insulation between the basement and main floor. The new tenants had no problems with the next person that moved in, and they actually ended up buying the house. No idea what happened to that guy but I'm sure he's still making somebody's life miserable.

Good morning menu family and DD2!

it is FREEZING today but im back in the office. I had planend to go to the gym tonight but forgot my gym bag at home, only remembering on my way over here, and considering the ice on the roads, i didn't bother turning around for it. oh well. Maybe i'll workout when i get home tonight?

QOTD:  I live in a town with not much diversity, and i only ended up here because this is where my husband grew up and I had some financial hardship before marriage in the DC area.We have a mix of nice and snobby neighbors. The nice ones are super nice. The snobby ones (about 3 houses in our small 13 house subdivision) seem to.. how do i say this... "Favor" the "all-white" households over the ones with "other races," my house included. Me and my two friends (one is filipina, and the other latina) get ignored, but our american husbands are always greeted. Its very weird to experience this in this day but there it is. Also since hubby was elected HOA president last year, everyone has to be nice to him, haha! it doesnt bother me as much as my friend, she gets so sensitive about it. For me, if you dont feel like befriending me, I dont really care to be your friend either.  I will say have some great, helpful neighbors as well, even outside of my two girlfriends on my street.
