Truck Day for me is like Groundhog Day -- that's when I know spring is just around the corner.

Truck Day is when the big moving van arrives at Fenway Park to load up all the equipment and stuff for Red Sox spring training. Then it heads south to Fort Myers in Florida.

It started with a handful of fans coming out to watch. Then it became a bigger event, with the team mascot, music, and a little celebration. Now it's become a media event. There are even personal background stories on the truck driver. The same guy has been doing it for over 20 years.

Oh, and you can also watch the progress of the truck on the internet as it makes its way south.

ok WOW!  Never heard of that! That is sooooo cool.  We don't have anything like that here but we have 1 that's right 1 MLB team in Canada (we did have two but Montreal Expos but ya now the Washington Nationals)... so ya Truck Day is not a thing here.

That is an amazing story, thanks for teaching me Coach!

Good morning lovelies.  I had an OK weekend.  I didn't have an all out binge, but I will admit that I didn't eat 100% bariatric friendly.  Hubby has his informational seminar this evening for Bariatric Surgery, and I know for both of us it feels like we're kinda eating off plan because he knows he's going to have to change soon.  It's hard to be good when we're all eating bad.  BUT, I'm feeling better, and I really pushed myself this morning to pack in a way that allows me to stuff my face with good food rather than with junk.

DD2QOTD:  I LOVE weddings.  It's been too long since I went to one.  Honestly, the last time I went to a wedding was 3 months pre-op in May of 2015.  I desperately want to go to a wedding, but no one is getting married.  Actually, my co-worker here at my new job that I've known for 10 years is getting married at some point this year, but they aren't planning a big wedding since it's a second marriage.  I think she should go all out and throw a shindig so I can go and dance and have a good time.  That's the hard part about being "middle aged".  Most of our friends are already married, and if they aren't they are divorced, so weddings of our peers are non-existent.  Most of my cousins/relatives aren't getting married, and now we're waiting for the next generation to get married, but even the ones in their 20s aren't getting married as young as we were when we were growing up.  I got married for the first time at the age of 24, but people are waiting later in life to do it now.  SOMEONE get hitched and invite me! Gah.

My lunch bag pic:

17 Months since surgery

B: ¾ of a pack of Oatfit Oatmeal (the bowl boiled over in the microwave and I lost a good bit of it, boo) 1 boiled egg and coffee with sugar free coffeemate.

L: 7oz of grilled chicken breast with 1oz of shredded mozzarella and salsa.  I packed extra to make sure that if I'm going to overeat I'll eat this protein.

D: same as lunch.  I love it and it's a safe bet for me.

S: 2 light and fit greek yogurts and a boiled egg.

Totals:

Calories 930 protein 114 carbs 45 fat 34

Okay, now on to the next story.  My new baby came home with us yesterday.  He's soooo adorable and a huge cuddlebug.  He's already started his crate training with the breeder, so he was perfect last night and was full of energy today.  We are working on potty training, and trying to figure out where to put the paper/puppy pads that will encourage him to pee and poop on the paper.  I love him, and he has melted my hubby's heart.  I have a feeling hubby and he are going to be best buds.  My oldest, Joe, loves him as well.  My youngest loves him, but has limited contact because Bugsy is all sharp baby teeth and wants to chew on Kal.  Good thing is that if Bugsy gets too out of control, Kal can just jump on the couch to get to safety.  The cats are not particularly happy, since Bugsy chases them around the family room, but I think that given some time they'll warm up.  They are interested and not aggressive with him, so it's a good sign.

I hate when my Oatfit does that...I always put a paper towel under the cup I am using to warm it up as it'**** or miss whether it boils over or not...even if I warm it up the same way.

I can't get over how cute Bugsy is. Glad he is settling in well.
