Argh--just ate my entire post... Trying again!

We got SLAMMED with a big snow storm yesterday! When we went to bed it said we already had 12" and we were supposed to get an additional 2" - 5" by morning. Not sure what the official total was, but...ALOT! Grim has been out since 4am with the snowblower, trying to clear the driveway, here at house #1, then he heads over to his other property to clear out the driveway for his tenants. He is going to have a complete workout before the sun even comes up!

QOTD: Are you or is anyone in your family, a "videogamer"? The most I have ever played was some Nintendo Mario Bros at a neighbor's house in the 80s, lol. I have a Wii, but I just use it for silly sports games and Wii Fit, so I don't think that makes me a "gamer", haha. Last night I showed Grim how to bowl with 100 pins at a time on the Wii. I bowled a 1548 in one game, thankyouverymuch! Anyway, I never really got the appeal of the video game culture but I know it has a big appeal to a lot of young people.

Today's menu has Plan A & Plan B because we are heading out to my old condo to show it to potential tenants and then hopefully celebrating a belated Christmas with my family. But nothing is set in stone, because of the storm, so we'll see what the day actually brings.

B: Fit Frappe Coffee x2 and babybel cheese

S: Coffee Oikos Triple Zero

L: Plan A: restaurant Angus Beef Burger (no bun) Plan B: Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad

S: Sargento Balanced Break & Chomps Meat Stick

D: Plan A: making Emiepie's yummy low carb pizza dough (with sauce, cheese and pepperoni) Plan B: ham!

Have a wonderful day everyone and STAY WARM!

morning JB!

I haven't spoken to my sister (she lives in Hyde Park, MA) since early yesterday- she was deep in denial about the storm lol. Here we got about 3" enough to be a nuisance. Today I'm going into work for a bit, gonna leave at 7 to give myself plenty of time to get there for 8. My elbow still hurts too. I'll likely go straight to the gym after to get it out of the way.

Qotd: nope not a gamer- never was. My hubby will tamndomly play certain games, but t not a gamer either. We have an Xbox 1 that gets used maybe once a month. But I have a no video games rule during the school week-- so that lessens their desire to play. My oldest plays a lot via his computer with his friends

20 months out, 192.6 today

m1: oatmeal, boiled egg

m2: Greek yogurt, berries, granola

m3: chicken sausage, sauce, cheese

4: quesadilla fillings

Yep, I think we were all in denial. The initial predictions said like 3" and then suddenly it crept up to 20" in some parts. No fair! I think Hyde Park ended up with 10ish or so. I I hope your elbow feels better, soon!

That's what is so wild about Boston. The volume of any big storm like that is wild. I mean, we get a lot of snow here in Ottawa, but it generally (not always) comes in small bursts of a few inches at a time, maybe 6. You guys just get these massive dumps all at once!

YES - lots of snow, probably about 18 inches in Falmouth between the 2 storms (12-13 inches yesterday). I was shoveling a path for the dogs at 6 am and my hands were frozen in my gloves (15 degrees).  But the dogs are happy!

QOTD: I work on computers all day (manage projects including technology projects and years ago was a developer), so the last thing I ever wanted to do in my spare time is video gaming. DH was never comfortable with computers.  HOWEVER, DS is living here right now and he plays constantly on XBox.

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese, and roasted tomatoes/chilis

L: tuna, pickles, cottage cheese

D: shredded chicken with peppers and onions cooked in marinara and pesto - I think I'm going to try this on zoodles tonight

S:  nut thins and hummus, protein bar

Grim has been outside for FOUR hours with the snowblower between the two houses. And we don't even have pets...

We have the driveway plowed but I bet it won't be until late today.  I guess Grim is getting a workout!
