First weight loss stall-a month
the scale hasn't moved for SEVEN days. I'm five weeks post surgery on Monday. Anyone know a good way to restart the weight loss? I'm not cleared for the gym for another week.

Search stalls... I have them regularly and have posted about them, as have many others. Lot of people lose in a stair pattern... down and then over. Someone posted a great article a month or so ago about why that happens. I had a three week period where I lost nothing and then lost almost ten pounds in a few days. If you are sticking to your program and measuring your food you will lose. And maybe don't be so attached to the number ;)

I had a complete stall weeks 2 and 3 post up and it was very upsetting!! Then week 4 I lost 10!! Just keeping doing everything your supposed to, it will move!

Same as the others, I've had random stalls, then big drops. Another stall, a small drop. I weigh daily, but track weekly average. I've given up trying to find a pattern. As long as you are confident you are following your plan, hitting protein and water targets, the weight will come off.
Keep working it, it will happen!

I stalled out at 5 weeks. I was so disappointed! But now I see the scale moving again after about 10 days of stalling, and think this week will be a drop of 3-4 lbs. Everyone tells you that stalls are normal and if you are doing what you are supposed to not to sweat them, but when you get used to seeing the scale almost magically drop and then it just STOPS it can be disheartening! Don't worry, what everyone says is right. I still, however, COMPLETELY sympathize with you on this one.
I'm post-op Week Four and I realized I had to stop weighing myself every day or I would go crazy. So I didn't weigh for seven days and then did today, and I only went down .8 of a pound! I was so bummed! I know I am losing because my clothes are starting to swim on me and I felt the bottom of my rib cage for the first time in YEARS the other day. I'm glad to read that stair-stepping is fairly typical. I am going to work on relaxing about the number and have faith in the plan.
