Congratulations on finding a surgeon and a center that feels right to you!
Travel for surgery is something a lot of us have to do and it's totally doable. I am in Northern Ontario, Canada, and had to travel 3 and a half hours by car to get to the Northern Bariatric Center for my orientation and psych, social worker, etc. visits, and 10 hours by car to get to my actual surgery center. It's winter though, so I'm flying to the surgery center because I don't like driving the highways when it's snowy/icy. It costs more than I can afford but worth it to prevent 20 plus hours of driving anxiety there and back.
Good luck with your journey!
Kathy
