GOING HOME
Hello everyone !
I am ALIVE!!!
I am doing well... The night before RNY... I did not go to bed until 3 am & woke up at 5 am. Dr. Mamazza said the RNY operation was perfect. Spent 4 hours in recovery room because of the sleep apnea. Got to the floor at 2:30 slept all day into the night.
I feel great... Just really tired...
The staff at the Ottawa Hospital from Pre admission right throughout to the Bariatric Unit were amazing.
I was comfortable with pain meds and had periods of nausea that were controlled by Zofran. One period of retching that was very painful and scary.
Hard to believe that I am going home today.
Sipping water & Tylenol is a challenge.
SIP?WALK?REST?TOOT??? REPEAT
I would like to thank you all for your kindness and support.
I found you all made me feel good about this life changing journey.
With much appreciation
Sandra

Come to OH often, daily is best, follow the adivce of the Vets. Drink your liquids, make sure you go to the bathroom, when you start to eat make it LOW LOW carb, high protein and when the NUT at Ottawa says to start eating carbs (oatmeal, whole wheat bread) please ignore her and smile and nod and move on!
We got your back here Sandra if you need us, welcome to the new rest of your life, its a wicked awesome journey!
Get some rest,
Daisy
