Can you be eating too little cals?
Whilst this is a good point. When you are exercising hard but are not yet fit it is a 'hard' as when you exercise more but are fit. To quote a reply I made above:
My fitbit said (I hope you can see this) https://www.fitbit.com/activities/exercise/5438899782 if not http://imgur.com/a/TCukM
So it calculated that I burned 400 cals. Not a fan of eating back calories, but I am concerned if I have only eaten say 500 in a day that this might be somehow bad for me (as it does not include walking the dog etc). So thinking of maybe eating a little bit extra before.
So I was at peak HR for a good bit and burned almost as many calories as I ate in a day. I get not putting a huge focus on calories. I am getting 80 grams of protein in in a day typically. But my question is am I going to do something bad to myself or set myself up for problems if I continue like this.

No, at this point you can not be eating too little. You can, however eat too much.
Get your 80 to 100 grams of protein in as few calories as possible. Calories matter, always. Calories are a measurement of energy. Fat is stored energy. You want to burn that fat, and every calorie you eat is one more you have to burn.
You get tired from working out? Okay. Don't take this the wrong way, but so what? You aren't being chased by panthers, or zombies. Be a little tired, and burn the extra fat.
Ignore what fitbit and everything else tells you you are burning gor calories. And under no cir****tance should you ever eat calories back.
If you were a healthy weight, you can eat too little. But as long as we are carryibg around all thiscexcess fat, we do not need to worry about that. We xarry around all the extea energy we need.
Some say WLS is a marathon, not a sprint. I disagree, vehemently. Once you reach your goal weight, it becomes a marathon. But while you are losing, it is literally a run for your life. Get the weight gone as fast as you can. It gets harder and harder as each month goes by. If you slow it down, for whatever reason, the odds of getting there become lower and lower. Get it gone.

So I won't faint or anything mortifying in front (well way behind) my running group or anything when I get light headed? That is a relief to know.
I do know with horses that you can have health issues if you try to feed way to little and work too hard with one that is obese. I didn't know if there was something similar with people.
Do you think there is any harm in trying to get in 600 cals if it helps not die when running? Or should I just keep at 450-500 It does seem to make a significant difference in my ability to do the distance. Its not being tired per se, its more of a matter of being completely unable to go on jogging. With a few more calories I can keep going. And its cold here when you stop running lol.

I got lightheaded a lot, but it had nothing to do with energy. It was from low blood pressure -- orthostatic hypotension -- from the weight loss. It is extremely common in that first year after surgery. Look it up. It might apply to you.
If it does, be careful. I did pass out from it a couple of times.

Grim is 100% right. Burn it off while you can. Working weight off of a horse or dog can lead to health issues...most of which are directly related to the damage done by being overweight to begin with....is not the same as WLS in humans.
I have no doubt that you will be fine. Stay hydrated and stay on top of your protein goal and you will do great.
Another possibility though...you are trying to over compensate because you want/crave more food and want to feel less guilt about eating it so you are working out to try to make that feel ok then seeking reassurance from the boards here for the extra calories?
If that is even a little bit on point then perhaps you should look at that for a minute. From a mental health perspective is it possible you are more of a food addict than you would like to recognize? Is denial part of what got you to being MO to begin with? Maybe consider getting into a counselor to dig around on this a bit? Just my 2 cents.

Actually with obese ponies its not related to damage done to being fat. It is metabolic damage due to trying to burn energy faster than their body can release the fat (and other things. It has been years since I have had to try to get weight of fat welshies)
Nope. I am quite uninterested in food as per my first post. I have to remind myself it is time to eat. Today it is 4pm and I have eaten 250 calories for the day. I could go home clean the apt a bit, walk the dogs and happily not eat anything. I will likely end up at 400 for the day. I would think if I was looking to eat more I would just do it as my centre says to eat 600-800. I don't think I could possibly eat 800 in a day!
My issues before was that I was always hungry. Interestingly I did my honours paper for my degree in biochem on leptin insulin and obesity as I wanted to know WHY I was always hungry and other weight related issues. Food is nice but if I am not hungry eating is torture.

Sounds perfect then. Let your body use your reserves and be glad for the lack of hunger. :) You will rock it out!
