Good Morning everyone!!!

It's cold here too... snow tonight, into the morning. This could be a great excuse to not come in the office tomorrow. I will be bringing my computer home with me tonight - you know, just in case  When it snows more than about 2" here, the roads are a mess, schools close, and most government buildings will close too... And it's not going to warm up until early next week, so anything that's out there will actually stat a bit - oh, but not around my house... it's prairie land... it will all blow from Kansas to Texas!

QOTD: Hmmm... I used to have my nails done, but now I do them at home, except maybe 2-3 times a year. I don't like the gel polishes, and I do just as good of a job as they do with regular polish. I buy drugstore makeup, and Sally Beauty Supply hair products, except for my shampoo/conditioner. That is always top brand stuff... I don't do massages very often... I'm drawing a blank. I buy decent coffee, but it's just from Sprouts, so not really extravagant... Shoes. Bingo... I may not buy the top brands, but I have a plethora of them, and I get giddy when I see another pair that I 'need'... I  shoes. I used to buy myself wine... lots of wine and vodka... but now I only drink alcohol at gatherings/special occasions...

Car washes... I have a black car... and live on a dirt road. I get my car washed, inside and out, VERY often. It's worth every penny to me.

But I have everything I need, and I am better about getting what I want or need than I was when my kids were younger... I'm learning!

B: I really screwed this up... left food on the counter at home. Had a conference call when I first walked in, so I ate a good amount of beef jerky while on that call (because my brain keeps telling my tummy it's hungry!)... and now I'm still kind of hungry... I will get more water and try to ignore this...

L: No idea. It's our monthly Real Estate meeting... they provide lunch. I hope it's Mexican food so I can get a plate with meat and beans

D: I have pork chops in the fridge... I wish they would magically morph into smothered and covered with mushrooms while I'm at work

S: SF coffee, and maybe the rest of the beef jerky I have left

Our scale decided THIS MORNING to have the batteries die! Damnit... no weight this morning...

You have animals. That would totally be a luxury to me! Actually, where you live would be too. I'm stuck in a stupid neighborhood...but we bend the rules with quail, 3 rabbits, 2 dogs, a cat, fish, a bearded dragon lol.

Yes, having what we have is most definitely a luxury... BUT, that luxury was put in place mainly for the kids. We moved into the best school district in the nappy state of Oklahoma, and because we were changing schools, we totally bribed the kids with horses and chickens to move (ha)... we are where we are because of them, and FOR them.

While I enjoy the chickens (OK, I LOVE having chickens), and the horses are great... and I can't wait to eat Cow... country living is NOT for me. NOT my luxury.

I am already scoping out homes in the inner city area that we can buy and restore to it's old glory... THAT will be MY luxury. Hubby is along for the ride either way  And if I could direct him to any place, we'd be in Austin, living where I would want to be... but his family ties will most likely keep me in Oklahoma for the rest of my life

I will have chickens in the city... I will rebel and break all rules to have a few hens, and fresh eggs all the time!

Well, you are a great Mom!!! Has your Hubby EVER been to Austin??? Because Austin is freaking awesome and he would probably never want to leave!!! I want an old inner city fixer upper too! And I want to live on the beach and a cabin in the mountains! I want it all hahaha

I love Austin, too.  In fact, if I ever win the lottery, I'll "winter" there after I retire!

I'm jealous of your farm :( I am doing a veggie garden this year, so excited about it but I have a black thumb so slightly worried I will spend all this $$ and kill everything.

In the meantime I'm reading everything I can so I don't hose it up.

Actually, Labor Day Weekend 2017...

This is your official invite!

We'll be celebrating the Hubs 50th, and we'll be doing it Beef Style!

We'll also have a new bottle fed calf for anyone that needs a cuteness overload! (That's my rule. New baby to coddle before the other goes to the freezer).
