What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
I got the Ninja Coffee System for Christmas, and I have to say we have a real love relationship going...
I've been making Latte's at night, with Fairlife milk, and it's only 30 calories per serving! I add a little syrup to the milk when I froth it, so the froth has a slightly sweet flavor too - last night I used vanilla Almond SF and it was so good!
But... if I'm going to sabotage myself with food, that coffee won't stop me.
I'm sorry you're going through this... I really think it's a product of the holiday's, and hopefully once you kick it, the cravings will slow down. I have been messing up, and really struggling the past few days myself. I hate it!!!

Yeah I did terrible over the holidays. I can't tell you how many times I ate pizza . That was my drug of choice since I don't care for sweets. Thank god I couldn't eat more than a thin crust slice! I felt like I let myself binge on pizza because it was the holidays and I can't have it normally. Then I remembered what got me so big in the first place!! I was up 2 lbs last week but this morning I had lost those 2 lbs plus 2 more.
Ugh sorry you are dealing with this. One thing I noticed in my journaling was that my binges were often triggered by not eating enough earlier in the day. Once I made sure I was eating more for breakfast and lunch, binging went way down.
Take care!

Good Morning! Had a great day celebrating my birthday yesterday-thank you for all the wonderful wishes! My lunch I brought for yesterday is now today's lunch since I ended up going out with a friend for lunch.
QOTD: I have a few "things" I purchase as well...My Starbucks funds, I wear Pure Grace perfume and get my hair done. Oh and my running shoes-can't forget those!!! I used to get my a manicure with gel polish every 2 weeks (I started with acrylic) but after surgery my nails got so dry so the polish wouldn't stay on well. I couldn't see spending the money when the nails wouldn't make it 2 weeks.
Time since surgery: 2 years, 4 months
B: SF latte, Maple and brown sugar Oatfit, 2 turkey sausage links and ½ an orange
L: Chicken breast, boiled egg whites, baby carrots, shredded cheese and avocado cilantro dressing on top of butter leaf lettuce
S: SF latte, Yoplait Greek 100 strawberry/banana yogurt and 1/2 a pepperoni stick
D: Chicken hand pie (warmed up really well last night) and blueberry ricotta bake
E: 6 miles done this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1121 Protein:97 Carbs:86 Fat:44
Have a great one!
Its cold here also but not that cold 31 degrees. They are calling for snow this weekend (our first ever this season though it did flurry/mix on New years day for a few hours) which means all hell is going to break loose here in georgia. we only have one snow plow for the entire state and we have to share it so it becomes a true mess- lol!
Last 3 days I have not been hungry. might be the new fiber gummies working I got a GNC.
QOTD: there are a few things, shopping for new clothes (nearly laughed at your new clothes comment of once a week/month as I usually buy more frequently than that :), jamberry nail wraps, good coffee, buying coffee's when I'm out (like mcdonalds, DD, or starbucks. I also like some gas stations coffee like QT/Racetrac. Some have SF syrups that I like and then I can make it exactly how I like it. DD had .99 coffee the other day so that was awesome, I got two within an hour span lol- SF coconut and a SF vanilla. I don't color my hair or go to a super fancy salon I like to do my nails myself. I was splurging on yoga classes which I love but was getting quite costly so switched to youtube instead. I had an ipsy box subscription but stopped it a couple months ago. What else, I have an iphone 5 not necessarily spurge worthy as it is old. I had audible subscription up until end of dec and love the outlander series. They were giving a free month to new account so I opened on on my other email so I could get a free book. I'm sure there is more but have to be quicker. I also have a perfume/scent collection that is quite large. I like higher end perfumes and lower end also. I have a zillion lotions, body washes, perfumes etc. It is a really big collection and yes I wear them all day everyday. Forgot about the crafting but that is more a side business so I'm not counting it.
Today's menu is:
no oat oatmeal/decaf
last of corned beef hopefully
protein pancakes
egg cup I made for dinner last night
yesterday i was right at caloric goal. I did use leftover duck in some egg whites and a bit of cheese for dinner. Made DH eggs also, corned beef hash and biscuits for him.
QOTD: Hmmm... interesting question. Many things which I couldn't afford when younger are regular "indulgences" now that I can afford them. I have a fancy car (convertible), I buy a lot of clothes, and we go out to eat a lot. I felt like having WLS was a "luxury" because I hadn't really focused on my health in the past.
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese, roasted peppers/chilis
L: tuna, cottage cheese, pickles
D: chicken made in new Instant Pot (haven't decided recipe yet)
S: Swiss miss light cocoa, nut thins and hummus
