What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Good morning Daisy and menu friends, it is bitter cold this morning. So cold that your nostrils stick when you breathe in lol. I'm feeling more and more in control and back on track with my food choices. Just proves that committing to this menu forum helps with accountability.
QOTD : My quilty pleasures would have to be spending my money and time on my 4 grandchildren. Although lately I have to say I've been shopping for clothes alot. I've been telling myself that it's because I needed everything but truth be told I'm having a lot of fun clothes shopping. Shopping at 250 plus lbs was never fun. Another guilty pleasure I have would be perfume. I LOVE LOVE LOVE good perfume.
Menu
B 1 egg omlett, 30 grs of cheddar cheese and peameal
L Protein Drink
D 2 oz of chicken breast
S 3 / 4 cup of plain Greek yogurt
Totals 542 calories 87 grs of protein
Have a good day everyone
Morning everyone!
Short post today because we are go go go this morning - I have to drop a box at the shipper, get my son to OT, do kindergarten registration, and then take him to school....so of course this means meals on the go, at least until this afternoon. They are predicting SNOW this weekend...which means I probably need to fill my gas tank and pull out the shovel from the darkest corner of our shed.
Thankfully I don't need anything at the grocery store because they tend to get crazy right before a snowfall...everyone wants milk, bread, and eggs....clearly they all want to make french toast while stuck indoors.
Menu today - premier protein for breakfast, nature valley protein bars for snacks, leftover porkchop and green beans for lunch, and hopefully some salmon and veggies for dinner if I'm not exhausted
Have a great day guys, and stay warm!!!

I don't think it's supposed to get above zero in Wisconsin today. I don't even want to get out of this bed!!! UGH!! My husband was planning to go to the YMCA this morning - I bet he'll change his mind!
speaking of Y, I tried a "Body Pump" class there last night. I hate strength-training activities in general, so I'm trying to find some new ones that are at least tolerable. This one wasn't bad - and I really feel it this morning!! My weight is dropping like crazy again - well, crazy for being this far out. Down to 146 this morning. I'll wait a couple of days to make sure this is for real, but if so - yay! But not sure what's up with this. I haven't cut calories. In fact there were a couple of days in the last week when I was higher than ever (closing in on 1500 - trying now to stick to around 1200 since that 1500 scared me!!). I just set a new goal of 140. It was 150, and I surpassed that - but if my weight's going to continue to fall, then why not?
QOTD: we've always been pretty frugal and we've been way more so since my husband lost his job last May. I guess the only thing I do anymore that's somewhat luxurious is continue to get pedicures - but I cut back to every two months instead of monthly, and I'm currently looking for cheaper options, like a beauty school. At one time I couldn't do my own pedicures because of my weight and my arthritis, but I could manage it now if I had to, so I could theoretically cut them out completely. But I really like them, so it's a luxury for sure! Other than that, no. I get most of my clothes at Goodwill, we only buy used cars and drive them 'til the wheels fall off, we don't have cable, etc etc - we're pretty cheap!!
19 months out
B: plain Greek yogurt with blackberry/blueberry sauce
S: coffee with half & half, SF protein pumpkin chai tea latte
L: I'm thinking two hard-boiled eggs, coleslaw made with sesame-miso vinaigrette
D: leftover cassoulet
maybe another Greek yogurt tonight if i'm OK on calories
exercise - well, I was planning on a dance class, but I may punt it. It's too freaking cold!!
Good Morning everyone!
things are almost getting back to normal here. But I was up and down last night, as our dog has a flare up of his arthritis. Im giving it the day to see if he improves, if not, it's a trip to the vet for stronger meds, or a different treatment plan. So I'm a little slow moving today.
qotd: see above hahaha
but I'd say our luxuries are that we're relatively self indulgent when it comes to restaurants or going to the movies etc. Although, wls has made that less indulgent feeling, since we share meals, or I only have a starter, or bring home three meals worth of food haha. Really, I'm probably saving money. Right?
Menu:
B:protein shake
L: turkey veggie soup with a bit of barley in it.
D: shrimp, broccoli mushroom stir fry.
have a great day!

Good Morning Daisy and Menu family!
Today is my sweet daughter's 23rd Birthday! I'm excited to see her open her presents! I got her some fun gifts, including a gift certificate for horseback riding (and one for me, too, so I can go with her), a DNA kit, and her VHS baby tape made into a DVD, as well as a bunch of clothes, jewelry, etc. I hope she likes the things I got her.
It's a whole 5 degrees here in Nebraska, feels like 0 degrees, with the high today only getting up to 13 degrees and the low -4! We got quite a bit of snow, too. I have an appointment today that I have to go to, but after that I'm staying inside. Sorry dogs, no walk today. (I'm a wimp). Exercise will be either the exercise bike or an exercise DVD.
QOTD: My current indulgence is spending money on our local 24 Hour Dollar Auction and our local Area Exchange on Facebook. I love bidding on things and getting a bargain! I've gotten several things for only $1 and many things for $2 or $3. I got SEVEN tops for my daughter for only $1 and a brand new dog coat for Tippy for only $3. I got myself a Fit*****arge HR for only $25! It works great, however I can't seem to get it to track my sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it to do that?
B: 2 eggs, sunny side up, 3 strips bacon
L: lettuce, spinach, chicken, cheese, cranberries & nuts, low cal dressing
D: Taco meat & cheese, 1/2 flour burrito shell
S: Light n Fit Greek Yogurt
Exercise: Exercise bike or exercise DVD
Have an AWESOME day everyone!

DD2 and my loverlies, I had a horrible, horrible binge eating night last night. I was just so out of control. I really need to get back with my therapist ASAP becuase I'm just not sure what to do about this issue.
So, here is my lunch today:
17 months since surgery
B: egg cup and coffee with sugar free coffeemate
L: 3oz ham on 1/2 a flat out wrap with a slice of cheese and spicy mustard. Baby pickles and grape tomatoes.
D: No idea. My hubby and oldest son are both gone tonight, so it will be just me and the little one. I'm thinking of running to Kroger and grabbing a rotisserie chicken. I love it and it may curb my restless food quest in the evening.
S: Light and Fit greek yogurt and an egg cup.
totals without dinner, since I haven't logged anything for it yet:

I am super busy today. I have to skip an onsite meeting with our biggest client so I can push and get a claim out for them by the end of the day. While it sucks that I won't get to go there, because I really want to have a good relationship with the client, I think it will look/be better for me to skip and get the stuff done, lol.
Have a great day everyone
