What is this "full" you speak of?
A lot of us got hiccups or runny nose. But not everyone. It's apparently tied in with the vagus nerve.

Thanks! I think I may have that too but didn't realize what it was. I have numerous strange sensations post-op, and it can be tricky figuring out what's going on.

My new "full" feeling is a burning under my sternum, right in the middle of my chest. It feels like really bad indigestion. It took me awhile to figure out that full is no longer in my belly because that's not where my stomach is now. After having an endoscopy a few weeks ago, they discovered that I have an extremely small pouch (3 cm, just a little over an inch). So, depending on the texture of the food, that full feeling can come after only 2 bites. I'm 11 weeks post surgery and still trying to adjust. Best of luck!!!

You won't feel anything for a while. Your nerves have been cut. And whatever you "feel" will be a lie. Don't trust it. Trust the clock, and trust your measuring cup and food scale.
I wish dietitians would STOP telling people that "eat til satisfied" bullcrap. Telling a bunch of morbidly obese people to eat until satisfied is just sheer lunacy. Complete insanity. Eat until your measured portion is gone, and don't touch food for at least 3 hours. Leave feelings out of it. Feelings got us into the spot where we needed surgery.

This answer Grim gave should be in BOLD and CAPS and on the OH front page, more newbies need to read this over and over.
Thanks Grim!

Thanks Grim. I had surgery 4 years ago and never worry about whether I feel full or not. Full got me to 272 pounds and I will not be that anymore. I eat my measured amount and stop no questions asked. I guess it works--I've never ate so much I vomited, lost all my weight plus some and have kept it off over 31/2 years. Wise words,Grim. Part of the problem is most dietitians/nutritionists have never been morbidly obese or had an unhealthy relationship with food like most of us have had. If they had--they wouldn't tell us to eat til satisfied!
For me, satisfied is when the food is gone. All the food. Everywhere.

What Grim said. That "full" feeling I get that feels like a heart attack? Ate too fast, did not chew enough, ate the wrong food. I eat what my portion is and then I stop. At almost four months out I still do not have much feeling in my pouch unless: I ate too fast, did not chew enough, or ate the wrong food. Then I feel like I might die, which is unpleasant.
For the sake of my dietitian, I should clarify--she did say to eat until satisfied but NOT more than the recommended 1/4 cup serving.
