What's on your Menu Today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
Snow on the ground this morning and bitter cold temperatures here this week.
QOTD: I used to be a very deep sleeper. I once slept through tornado strength winds that downed a tree that crashed through my dining room window while I slept in my bedroom right next to the dining room and I slept right through the winds and shattering glass noise! However now in my "old age", I seem to wake up several times in the night, not to sounds, I just wake up for no reason. It's weird. My dog, Blossom, likes to wake me up in the middle of the night, too, by jumping up on me and panting her hot breath in my face.
B: 2 eggs, sunny side up, 3 strips bacon
L: lettuce, spinach, chicken, cheese, cranberries & nuts, low cal dressing
D: chili cheese dog
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking the dog or if too cold, exercise bike.
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!
~ Karen
My 5lb Yorkie has a habit of jumping on me when she wants to go outside early in the morning... there are documented cases of Sissy waking up hubby before me because he's such a light sleeper, and I am so not! I don't even feel her doing it, and he wakes up!

Good Morning everyone! I'm a light sleeper. Which is not good since I sleep with 2 dogs in my bed. One of those is still a puppy who wakes me every night at about 2:30 to go outside and do her business. It's like having a baby for sure. I long for a night that I can sleep right through. Some day maybe. haha
B: coffee
L: chicken salad
D: baked pork chops with green apples, cottage cheese
quick one for me, meetings this morning.
QOTD: I'm usually a heavy sleeper and I'm a BAD waker, if someone wakes me up I get angry. I like to wake up with my alarm but I don't like someone startling me awake. There are some nights like the past 2 that I have not sleep well and feel like i was tossing all night.
Yesterday went to gastro appt. Having scope on 24th at the center and then a mri to see if i have issues where my GB was taken out. In the meantime, he did put me on a higher dosage of the anti spasmodic meds and told me I could start taking the protonix again. I didn't want to take yet another med, but if there is a chance on me feeling better I will suck it up and take it. OH and the gastro made a comment about how he thinks I don't need to lose any more weight? sheesh people I'm not even underweight! I don't get these doctors, the complain at you all the time about how you are too fat and need to lose but the second you are in normal range they have something to say about that also. SMH!
Today's menu is more duck, corned beef, protein pancake, coffee, water, and diet cranberry and a khombucha tea, of and cabbage. I have a crap ton to eat and it doesn't freeze well.
Went to the outlet mall after my appt, GNC gave me a $10 GC for switching my account over to their new rewards program so I got these fiber gummies to try out. So far i think they just make me toot but whatever. I need all the help I can get.
I missed it in your past posts, but how did you prepare the duck? so intrigued...

Good morning gang. I had a good night last night, and I feel like I'm slowly getting back on track. I wasn't perfect, and I had some popcorn last night. But my menu today is good and I'm feeling good about how things are going. The scale is still not cooperating, but I'll give it time.
As for the weather, it is COLD here this morning. What really gets me is the wind, it's gusting pretty badly here, I could hear it while getting ready for work this morning.
QOTD: Historically I've always been a heavy sleeper. When I had my youngest son, that kinda changed, though just recently I've been needing more sleep. After I had my youngest I woke up at any noise because I was always listening for him. Now I'm a bit different. I can fall asleep easily and sleep pretty soundly, but if I wake up for any reason during the night, then I have a really hard time getting back to sleep.
Here is my menu for the day:

L: Chicken Veg soup and a salad with tomatoes and Bolthouse Farms Ranch dressing
