Gut-churning, isn't it?  I spent six months preparing for WLS.  Then, the phone call came with a confirmed surgery date.  The new plan to figure out how to get out of it kicked in.  Like you probably will, powering through the fear and doubt HAD! TO! happen.  Good Luck making it happen for you, too.

I am thrilled for you!  You are going to rock this.  I hope that you like a lot of people bounce right back after surgery and "get the hang of it" right away. But if you don't please let me know. I did not "bounce right back" I took 6 weeks off from work and I needed every minute. I was lost, confused, upset, in pain, tired and really OVERWHELMED by the WLS lifestyle!  But look at me now.. 3 years post op and BEST decision I never made for myself.  I am here if you need me, just a PM away.  Jealous you only have to do one week of Opti! LOL

You got this kid, I am rooting for you!!!

So exciting isn't it. I waited 13 months from referral to surgery and at times I thought it would never happen so I know how you feel. You'll be on the losers bench before you know it. Very happy for you.

It's been 11 months for me. It was more the uncertainty. I finished all my appointments quickly and then nothing. And then the cancellation and the back log at TWH. So glad to be finally getting to the next step.
